Oh wowza that is a beautiful RED FJ40. My heart skipped a beat within seconds of seeing it. I know I couldn't resist driving it far more than one should with an original gem like this. Other than that, so very tempting. My fingers are crossed hoping it finds a good home away from salt.

I just bought a 1980 fj40, I was wondering if i could get a copy of the stage 1 restoration? to get all the specs right.

Rancho shocks were not original to the vehicle. They're cheap stiff monstrosities.

$6000 for a "restoration" on something that is original? Pfff, I don't know where you shopped at but that's way over priced. No need to get a bumper if it wasn't wrecked. Even then, that goes for $350. The next most expensive thing is the rear wheel cylinders at $75 each. Everything else sells for cheaper than that. Muffler $55. Clutch master/slave $35. Hose $25. etc....Valve adjustment can be done in 30minutes if you move like a turtle . and seeing that this was done in 2013, $6000 is through the roof.
