What I liked MOST about this video, it's proof that regardless of income level our black parents Always told us to do what's Right. They taught us the Right way then we choose to do the wrong things, some of us learn and grow some stay the SAME or worse.
It's easy for parents to say I've tried my hardest knowing damn well they haven't tried at all, people have kids left and right and just stick them in the room hoping they raise them selfs
Facts like a mf 💯 I got 2 brothers 2 sisters and I'm the only one that was in and out of trouble as a youth.. Because of the choices I made when I stepped outside. Not because of what I learned at home.. That stuff mama said started making sense to me after I found out the hard way! Glad I can say I did learn my lesson tho!
It’s funny to me, people who’s never been in the streets, never killed anyone or been close to getting killed, always talking about how people in the streets should conduct themselves. Never felt the heat.... so they don’t know how they would react, themselves. Acting surprised that people be snitching.... don’t y’all know there’s no honor in the streets? Anything built wrong will fall. Just keep watching from the sidelines 🤫
Who ever did the shooting should step up instead of letting everybody go down. No wonder some body gone tell especially if you ain't got on to do with the situation
I've experienced The same feeling , When I was a toddler... remember seeing a bunch of Raymond Crips , my step dad my mom and abunch of lowriders and all my step dad's homies and couldn't help but feel an ominous vibe when I was there.... I even remember what the lowrider looked like... It was all white with burgundy seat's and glass cups " imbedded customly " into the seats.
Respect to the Hawkins family. Their black owned business is still at the same old building across the street from the Nickerson Gardens projects. 40 or 50 plus yrs. Never ran, never hid, never sold business. Stayed 10 toes down and kept pressing on even tho their own people tried to destroy them, literally and figuratively.
They all did like 4 years for that shit. Some less. They took plea deals to keep one of the big homies out the box,he had nothing to do with it so they plead out to free him
Say you comment on the new E40 tune. Wasn't listen for that long but he was always one of my fav...even being from NY. He just had a flow I grew to love 💯
And his boys didn't look too pleased about that either! I think he knew things would never be the same afterwards. And what's even more messed up, the police don't care about the outcome of him at all.
Ever wonder how it feels when you bust your working, yet your kids are out breaking the law? So, if they do wrong you are supposed to point them out!!!!
I saw this documentary on PBS when it aired in the 80s. I always wanted to see it again and just a few weeks ago searched the internet for it. Bravo on the uploading of this
back when court was wild and your defense attorney could build a case against the victim during your defense trial.. somebody object. plus I think now the boys would of all had individual trials
Was in really that crazy during that time? My uncle lived around Crenshaw and Adams in the 80’s and I always wanted to go visit but he told me it was too dangerous and wouldn’t let me come.
He had to take the stand, he was trying to prove self defense. It didn't help that he had a sawed off shotgun and a witness seen him shoot it. If you listen to the whole thing the dude wound up getting charged for shooting one of the bounty hunters. This could've very well been an extortion gone wrong with the two parties. After all, the family owned a mortuary, so they had money and you can't tell me the funeral business wasn't thriving back then. Why is a large hood like that beefing with a family anyway?
An incriminating statement, cohersion an inducing pleas",unlawful.transaction proceedings, ABA standards related to hearings like this they tried nailing them on higher charges CONSP to get lesser charges , placing'"pre federal charges on them n case they beat the state offensecharge
RS a lot of folks seem like they missed that part ...same way they act like it don't happen in jail . That's not a gangster move where I'm from, but I guess different crews accept different action.
That's exactly how I feel. If they doing that, then how did he get his flag? What he do to become a member? You know exactly what they was doing once they got to prison. Straight bandits
Probably perpetrated like they were hard and took their beating to get in it’s easy to act tough and be a homosexual at the same time nobody will know lol if other bloods knew that trust me they wouldn’t of let that slide
I remember this. I was nine. This made the news.. I grew up on 125th and Slater... Other side of Imperial Hwy. I used to get my haircut at a small barbershop by Hawkins...
Damm she really want her son to be good other races think it's funny to laugh and say that they know they sons was gang members wrong cause alot don't allow they homies to chill at they house while they mom is there or they don't even tell they momma about what they do in the Streets
@the iron way, YOU don't know. YOU don't know she could've known. YOU can't say you know exactly how the situation was and the way it must be is the mum must've been able to know and just wasn't paying attention. Assuming that is prejudice. Literally judging before actually knowing. And if it's coz they're poor black people so it can't be anything but a bad mum not raising her kid right, that's bigoted prejudice. The only point here is if YOU don't know the specific matter of fact but decide what MUST be true, your opinion is ONLY PREJUDICE. X
@the iron way people dont always tell your mom shit, even if they know. Honestly, the more good hearted your parent is, the LESS people will want to break their heart. Then there are some who may think you already know. Then there are some who won't tell just to laugh behind your back. Then there are some who figure you should know SOMETHING but won't say shitt till they're in an argument and start to aire out your business. Its 2021 and my younger cousin is about 25. My aunt who raised me in her 50s all over facebook. I'm 36. She comes to me to tell me something she heard about my cousin, shit was 2yrs old. She JUST found out. A couple of times we've been just around each other talking, and some shit comes out abkutnwheb i was a teen, my mom had ZERO idea of. It's just reality Everyone wants to blame parents. But the reality is that parents are t psychic nor in touch with the streets like that. Hell, most parents dont have time to be in touch because they're working so hard to be a parent.
even then the LOYALTY was no where near and the SYSTEM didn't give two shit about anyone foreal....THE 80s were some cold times....I was born in 86'. The stories my dad have as an ASIAN REFUGEE IN CALIFORNIA.....unspoken
I knew all these guys but regardless what I did with them they never messed with me and I made it out. The man in the perm was 'manpower' most respected of all of them. Renzy had hands
I was just 8 yrs old back then. Crazy how old this was lol im 44 now. TV sure has changed! Imagine our kids looking back at 2021 and thinking things will look crazy old then! 🤣
They just said the Brothers at 16:35 , 17:23 & 17:27 gave statements. They also walked another snitch right past them. The news was quick to expose people back then 🤦♂️
That's the problem. They committed the crime. There is no exposing the truth exposes itself. These young men kill more black people than the Klan. Genocide if you understand what that is. My lord I hope you don't think snitching is wrong have someone steal from someone you know and see if they don't call the police. Your not woke your enabling.
The ones they said gave statements were plea deals. They all copped out before this. The Big homie got caught up in this case and had nothing to do with it so they copped out to free him. Only ones really told was loiu and pepto who took the stand.
The kid making faces to his little sister made me smile a bit, then I remembered the nature of the court case. For a second we got a glimpse of innocence in that moment, just sad that so much horrible stuff goes on around them.
The gang life was/is such a waste. Pity most these cats don't realise until it's too late. All brainwashed by gangster rap bullshit and swearing allegiance to Red/Blue and Blood/Crip. Living your life for the colour of your hood. I see a lot of old gang members regret there gang bangin when they eventually get some sense and to be fair many try and give something back to the hood and help kids to stay away from that life. It is a mugs game with very few if any escaping without serious damage being done.
The 80’ and part of the 90’. I lived in New York from 90-92 and I was trying to find the HardRock Cafe, and I stopped pass a phone booth to call my friend who I was meeting there. Man I saw all these crack vails around the phone booth full of crack and hookers, plus two guys in a car keeping watch. I found another phone booth!
back in the 80s you could tell gangmembers apart from the civilians. Go to their neighborhood in Watts today, they dress in tight clothes and bright feminine colors, they look like they are from new York or ATL now.
Vinmoonsu has a great channel with the most original content which is consistently updated. Even tho you never interact with you subscribers I really hope that you are monetized so you make something for all of your effort. I have binged on many channels and grow sick of them after a month at the most but your channel is the only exception. Keep up the good work bro. Much love and respect from London. 💯❌💯
Great post once again. It's crazy that the BG's had all those guns. Usually it's the vets who are strapped. Bounty Hunters hood must've been a damn war zone
Bro y’all catch what the prosecutor he said “ some of them didn’t do anything but there part of the group so they get charged too”. That’s fuked up . That’s not right .
@@cortezhernandez2221 people join gangs for varies reasons. Common reasons is for protection against other groups. Or they’re living in poverty and joining a gang is they’re only way of survival. Regardless, we’re all human beings with rights and until you grow up in that environment you have no right to stop about who has rights or doesn’t. Also it is messed up that, for instance, a driver gets charged with murder or possession of a firearm when someone else does the killing. Simply because they’re apart of the same gang.
It's called guilty by association or an accessory to the crime. If you're going to critique the law you should have a basic understanding of what the laws are.
@@DetroitRockin Actually Lil Monster , Sanyika Shakur's little brother went on a revenge Murder cause they had shot Monster , Lil Monster details this in a couple of documentaries. Edit : this revenge took place in 84'

God bless Ms Willis",if this young man , could turn himself in , because his dear mother asked him,why couldn't he have listened to his mom beforehand"!!
As another brother in Christ, who witnessed the consumption of the community's I grew up in, like you, without Jesus Christ, I couldn't tell you where I would be either. Instead of gang members, these days, it's the people in a suit and tie. Different faces, same game. Be well sir.
@@kingwillie206 which is probably why you are unhappy and have to take time and energy to remark about how's it's "all in your head " ya I bet your life is amaaaaazing with an attitude and outlook of such optimism and joy. Be gone Queen William.
@@nameredacted1176 - Whoa, I don’t argue with women so take it easy. You’ll just have to excuse me for telling the truth about a Roman inspired religion forced onto my ancestors during slavery. Read Ephesians 6:5 and learn something. You’ll also have to excuse me for not accepting homoerotic ceremonies like simulating drinking the blood of another man and eating his flesh. I’m quite happy and satisfied in life without that, but you do you. And just in case you think it’s nonsense look up the council of Nicea 325 AD for historical reference.
@@peegeebeedee7563 i dont remember but i remember my dad taking me to stops and he told and showed me ..because hawkins burgers were making money and they were rite across from stops and the Nicks..
