Anton Josipovic is still alive and he lives in Banja Luka. During the war in Bosnia his health was damaged and he took alot of abuse. Nowadays local people are just passing around him and they dont even know who Josipovic is. It is so sad that one boxing name like he is haves 0 meaning in his hometown.

No. That is not true. First, he was not stabed but shot in Coffe shop when he drinks a coffe with Serbian friends.(by some scum bag who supposed to be a Serb). Second, Evander offered him to pay medical treatment in US but Josipovic stayed in hospital in Bosnia for 6 months, he was in bad shape for any transport to the US. The wound was close to his heart, and it tooks him 2 years to ''fully'' recovered.It is a sad story . Josipovic was Olympic champion, he was not nationalist and always decleres himself as a Yugoslavian. Today he lives in Bosnia-Repubic of Srpska entity in the same town with a same friends. And everybody loves him and respects him!
Ne laži,Anto nije zboden nego ga je idiot upucao iz pištolja i to 1997. godine u kafani. Prva,hitna operacija koja mi je spasila život,bila je u Banja Luci a onda je nastavljeno liječenje u Zagrebu. Nikakav Holifild i nikakva Amerika... Ante je i danas danas u Banjaluci,svi mi normalni ljudi ga volimo i cijenimo. Ante je bio i ostao najiskreniji i pravi Jugoslaven
Josipovic covered himself in glory with that classy gesture, no doubt. How about Kevin, also? He straight up called the DQ a terrible decision and said Holyfield should have at least taken his own silver medal. This entire recognition ceremony was everything right and good and honorable about these men.
You would never know it , yes Holyfield had excellent talent and was superior fit , however they had same weight and I wouldn't underestimated Josipovic at that time who had Lion hearth , You never know because didn't happen .

cquilty1 The rules which state that punching after a stop can draw a DQ. He was not the better fighter and he knew it. His bodylanguage was that of someone who knew he wasn't the better fighter but he did indeed deserve the medal based on the fact that the other fighter was DQ'd. If any fighter does something to be DQ'd then the other fighter absolutely deserves the W.
