I got one from 1987 for 100 euros (because the seller said "it's dead" I just changed a spark plug, cleaned the air filter and changed the starter brushes. now it runs like clockwork. This is my first Quad and it is wonderful. I repainted and patched up the bodywork, I love it ❤

I like how it's literally an atc 250es engine slapped onto a 4 wheeler.

Have a 85 Honda fourtrax 250 best atv I have ever owned still runs like a top all I had to do to get her going was a carb rebuild after it had sat for a couple years outside just basic maintenance is all I have needed to do first gear is super low with plenty of torque for my towing hauling needs and it is super fun to ride those old 250s are absolute tanks

I just bought one that has 10 rides or so on it. Super clean and maintained. Pretty fast bike also.

I bought this same type of quad from one of my neighbors and restored it and it's the best running quad I've ever had! Never had engine issues, can go up to 30 miles an hour, and I can pull a trailer!

My grandparents and their retired friends around the Sierra Nevada foothills all had these. I rode these for so many years as a kid, I can still remember all the little quirks and just how to get the most out of them.

The 4 trax isn't the strongest or the fastest atv, but its by far the most durable and reliable. Honda's inevations, QC, and durability are second to no one. And I'm a Polaris guy.

I owned a 1987 trx250 and owned it for 16 years and beat the dog shit out of it every day and it never quit never done any motor work besides oil changes and clean the carb and rebuilt the rear differential only because I didn’t keep the gear oil changed properly and changed a couple from wheel bearings and brakes he’ll who needs em with a super low transmission she was the best quad I ever owned wish I still had her best quad ever built they say the 300 was the best but the 250 was better sure the 300 rode better but the 250 did everything else better and had more power then the 300 I smoked countless 300s in my area I had the fastest utility quad around with the old 250 one day there was 5 300s running full out and I passed them all with a quarter throttle left man was a loyal quad.

No joke mine still has the same oil since it was I got it is like 20+ years (2nd hand)

Do I premix the gas on this bike or gas only in tank?
