always turn the idle screw when its running mate thats how u flooded the carb,so its taken too much air and fuel at same time to spark.i learned the hard way u probably know this now lol.best to be safe than stuck
@@MeleeMotors I'm thinking about starting to post video on RU-vid as well. I gone thru 3 bikes in 3yrs.. Lol I think I'm sticking with my current bike plus my vf500 proj.
Right on dude! Yeah just record every time you work on a project, I need to record more, I have so many projects going on. It's easy to just start working and forget the camera, I need to get better at videoing everything.
I just found your video, but me and a buddy just bought two from a guy who had a stroke and was selling them for $200 for one but his wife let us take em both, long story short would you know where to get parts
@@MeleeMotors thanks man! Are biggest problem is we don't have spark and we can't figure out why. We've been threw everything, but we think the kill switch got stuck on cause the wires ended up frayed :(
Yeah I would definitely just disconnect your kill switch and try again. If that dont work I would suggest to check your ignition coils. make sure your timing is accurate.
Anything Honda in my opinion is reliable. If you keep up with maintenance, they will last a very long time. The valves are probably the weakest link but if you get them serviced within the recommended time frame they will last.
Please put the fairing back and don't ruin this classic beauty with the "street fighter" or whatever the hell they call it look...... and put back it's original headlight and turn signals if you can afford to! Thank you and have a nice day. :)
Tony Kart Racer thank you for the comment. and the whole point to me putting the headlight and turn signals on is to make it rode worthy. When I bought it it was wrecked and the fairing was destroyed. just a cheap basic setup so I can drive it around legally while tuning the engine. Cosmetics is the last thing on my rebuild check list.
