Dario Cerato et Fabrizio Tabaton dominaient les championnats d'Italie et d'Europe des rallyes en 1985 et plus tard en 1986 mais revenons à la saison 1985 , Lancia connaît une saison très difficile avec une 037 qui fait de la résistance mais qui n'arrive plus à rivaliser avec les Audi Quattro Sport et surtout les 205 T16 qui eux sont entrain d'écraser la concurrence avec une quatre roue motrice qui est beaucoup plus évoluer que celui des allemands ce qui pousse la firme turinoise à développer la Lancia Delta S4 pour la fin de saison 1985 et la saison 1986 . En 85 Henri Toivonen a été victime d'un terrible accident au rallye de la Costa Smeralda en Sardaigne puis il a fait son retour en fin de saison mais en même temps on a vu dans la vidéo que Dario Cerato avait participer au San Remo aux côtés de Markku Alèn , D'Henri Toivonen , Massimo Biasion qui par la suite intégrera l'équipe officiel en 1986 et qui deviendra le grand champion que le Groupe A connaissait quand à Cerato c'est plutôt les titres en Italie et en Europe . La Même année le monde du rallye est endeuillé par la mort tragique d'Attilio Bettega en Corse suivi d'Henri Toivonen disparu lui aussi le 2 Mai 1986 lui qui avait gagner le RAC en 1985 , le Monte Carlo et la Costa Smeralda en 1986 .

The most insane thing about these old rallies is the crowds. What happened to all these people with a deathwish? What do they do to get their fix, now they can't stand inches from a speeding cannonball of angry car?

The depth of talent back then was second only to Finnland and Sweden, so i guess thats third only🤔 A nation's cup would be interesting. I might just have to buy a small island, so id have some chance of taking part🤣
