40 year retired wrench here, and I have to say you guys do stunning and thorough work. If I was 20 younger would love to spend a summer working with you guys and see what I could pick up around there especially sourcing old parts. Great job guys, seriously!
I just brought my 85 CJ7 Renegade from Connecticut to Florida. It needs a lot of work. I'm looking to restore it but it will take some time. Thank you for sharing love the video.
That looks awesome what kind of floor liner did you put back in there cuz I'm doing one now in 1984 CJ7 of course not as near as technical as yours I don't have the deep pockets but doing the best I can with what I got lol
You wanna see a clean cj build ? Go check out babymissions youtube page. Not taking anything away from this sweet build, hats off to the miller bros.Cheers 👍🏻
Awesome! Love seeing people restoring these old CJs and keeping them on the road. Right now it is so freaking hot and humid here and hard for me to get motivated. Time to get off my butt. Again, Great job on yours!!!! Mike
@@aaronmiller3215 Yep, that looked to be a really rust free solid platform. I took a rust free 85 Laredo cj7 in Dark Night Blue to this level, only thing I added different were the Laredo graphics decals. These '85's have a ton more wiring than earlier units.
Is that a 2 in lift on 33’s? I’m trying to figure out what I want to do to mine and like a good reference. You had a sweet build. Did you do any performance mods to the engine. Stroke it out or anything.
What do you typically charge ?......I'm interested in an 85 CJ but want the new Cummins crate motor 2.8 and done like this blue one but I like a maroon color
This one cost our customer $57k which included the purchase of the red CJ. We would love to talk to you further about a 2.8 Cummins CJ restoration! Feel free to call us at 715-247-4100 or email me at aaronemilmiller@gmail.com.
A buddy of mine built one of these from the ground up for me with brand new parts and the defrost on the windshield doesn’t seem to be powerful enough. Any suggestions?
$57k including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Your results may vary. We have recently decided to discontinue restoring Jeeps as it is not a good use of our shop space at our auto repair facility. A restoration like this takes hundreds and hundreds of hours and in the end is not a profitable endeavor for us.
Hi Elias. This Jeep build cost $57,000 including the purchase of the original red Jeep. Every single nut and bolt was either media blasted and powder coated or replaced with stainless steel.
We work with Somerset Collision for the paint and body work. I don't know the brand of paint, however the color is Ford Blue Flame Metallic, the same color they use on a 2015 F150.
why dont you tell how much money you spent on it? you could go and buy 2 new ones 4 what you spent on it and you still got an 85 model when you get done,,,
How is that any of your business? We were hired to build it for one of our clients to their specifications. When you get to the income level of the clients that have hired us to build them a complete custom CJ like no other one on the road, they want something that no one else has and that is exactly what we built.
Ron, we weren’t restoring it for you. We built it for a particular client and we built it to their specifications. We too have restored many Jeep CJ’s and each one is built for different clients with different tastes.
Call it what you want. We were hired to make a really nice Jeep for our customer to their specs and our attention to detail. We were fortunate to find a solid canvas to start our artwork.
