Born and raised in DC and all I remember in music was GOGO a then P-Funk. There is no music like it in the world. Like Reggae to Jamaica, is GOGO to DC, attached at the hip.

I always tend to favor Go-Go music over House music because although I'm a Hip-Hop head, I'm also a funkateer. And I love hard funk. I also look at Go-Go as sacred because the DMV is the only place one can hear it, and the people there take so much pride in it. Respect from STL!!!

I’m from P.G. County Maryland… I grew up on Go-Go hearing my parents and folks listen to Chuck Brown, Junkyard Band, Rare Essence, EU, Backyard Band. I’m a 90s baby so I grew up in the golden era of GO-GO which was like 2006,2007 but for me I started going around like 2007-2014 going to the club every weekend with the older crowd in my neighborhood I was the youngest I. The club my first function but trust me I wasn’t scared and I was locked in since and from seeing beautiful women from all over the D.M.V area different hoods traveling from everywhere in Washington D.C. , P.G. County Maryland and other nearby areas repping they hood getting stamped , the brawls , the picture booth , the swag, everything was different trust me! I loved the music as a teenager but hell, man, there was just TOO much violence associated with that scene at that time (c. 1982-4). It was just as violent as today's drill music scene. Possibly even more so. In fact it was the hooligans hanging around clubs like Cheiry's, the Black Hole, etc. who really gave the music a bad reputation.

I ended up joining g the Navy to either fly or create cartoon music videos. Am-FM was a rock-funk band and our colors were Pink, black and white for our mothers' sorority sisters ♥️ add purple for Prince who rocked our world at the Cap Center in Landover, MD. Marching bands vs kids who left our pianos behind was a thing.

This logo is literally in the most important part of the screen. Where we have to watch, I really love this interview and I gotta watch a dam logo. It's cool to have your name on your work but be smart about it. Just some advice remove the logo from the middle of the screen.
