"Rat on "was my favorite back in the 70's. I really can't believe I found this video of my favorite buggy. I used to make swamp buggies out of Legos and play for hours, dreaming of going around that track. Simple times.
7:00 that old ford looked cool ripping through there! I miss watching this in the 80's.. My dad and I bumped into Steve Evans when I was a kid at Englishtown for some NHRA event.. That guy was pretty unique.. lol
Wasn't this on TNN back in the day? Seems like I remember watching this, the rodeo, and monster trucks on either Saturday or Sunday mornings in the mid-late 80's as a kid.
@@morphman21 unfortunately I don't. It's one of my greatest regrets that I didn't keep those vhs tapes that he made. At the time I just thought it was another video. But now I realize what a labor of love it was for him.
I lived on lorraine ave about a half mile from the track when I was a kid we went to all these back in the 80s. Left Naples in 89 for Alabama still here but miss the way Naples was back then.
ah yes the good ol days back when 41 was a 2 lane highway. still could catch and keep big snook off the pier. and shoot deer. just north of wiggins pass marina which also is long gone. many more fun memories. too many to recall.
I'm afraid that's the only one.The only reason I had this one my dad recorded it way back(VHS) and put it on a DVD some yrs ago .I had this copy sittin around for awhile until I decided to put it on my RU-vid channel.Glad you enjoyed it.
SimsRacing - I remember watching Shagnasty on TNN back in the 80's. It was usually a battle between you guys and Leonard Chesser. Do you know if the Chesser's are still involved in Swamp Buggy Racin'? I haven't seen this in years. Great fun!
oh yes and livingston road wasnt even a consideration just a 1 truck rd under the powerlines that run north to south from bonita bch . road all the way south of gg parkway. and the southeast corner of immokalee rd and 41 was tomato fields clear to the old railroad tracks which is now goodlette rd.
