New Edition were on the decline when Bobby "left". New Edition kicked out Bobby as he was "no good". Both camps had something to prove and Bobby vs New Edition New Jack wars of 1988 fueled both to greater success than either had ever experienced.

So glad that you shared this. I vividly remember the first time I saw this as a kid. I was about 8 and confused about "Coke" vs. "Coca-Cola" after seeing this. My dad explained it to me, and not long after he bought me the group's 12" vinyl single of "Once in a Lifetime Groove." Nice memories. : )
