Back in the late 80s my friend and I watched some drunken Mexican get beaten up then he kept coming back and repeatedly getting the beat down. So finally he got gutted right in front of Robertos when the night club let out the guts turned the gutter water pink. Noone tripped just seemed to be a appetite stimulant .Damn there was a lot of stimulants...😄

I lived in PB / MB in 1986, I watched very close to see if I was in this video or anyone I knew! So great to see this, so wonderful to see a video from this specific time. I used to work on Mission Blvd in '86. I had a huge studio apt in PB a few blocks from the water for only $300 a month. I actually wrote my name fresh cement on Mission Blvd on April 22 1986 and it's still there!

I remember always watching the freestylers doing their thing in front of Hamels and riding my skateboard from the jetty to the pier and back a couple times a day... sweet memories!

I was back there in 2010 I think and the commercialism took me by surprise, so much changed since I left for LA.

My friend and I dragged planks of wood off the bus benches all the way up the catwalk of the roller coaster! It was still closed for about a decade. So we would go up there every night to sit and dangle our feet from the top of the roller coaster to watch the Fireworks at Sea World each night 🎢🎇🎆✨&Burn Fatty's🎉

I went to high school in San Diego during this time. The city was so much more livable back then. Rents and housing prices weren't all that much higher than the national average. You could still be a beach bum and live near the beach.

There were so many guys back then who were So Insecure about their Image, Sexuality, Looks, etc. that were drunken assholes and Loud mouthed Jerks. Many Girls were also really insecure back then. I still live in San Diego and walk the Boardwalks in Mission Beach, PB, Mission Bay and its changed for the better.

Such a fun part of my life spent there on the beach, hanging with great friends at coasters etc. Saw some great bands back then too, U2, The Cure, Echo, Jane's Addiction, Kiss, Smithereens and oh so many other fun bands of the 70s and 80s. Best band I've seen in the 2010s is Wolf Alice, a fantastic band who need to get there 3rd album finished dammit:)!

Back in the mid 80s till mid millennium San Diego was playing a unique style of punk/ pub rock. All the best, most intelligent and beautiful scene. I moved from Brooklyn NY, pre gentrification and it was a pleasure, a honor to have spent and shared with the pit Punks, Friends of no one, and the Pacific Beach Vermin. And there was a strong soul connection. PB drive during high tide the guys would be so sweet, being very shy I felt like I was loved and appreciated ❤️. So much talent and dedication from Davy Quinn ( Tiltwheel). At 15 he brought ( venues) 100s of bands when no band would ever play again . Full contact rock and dive bars that helped keep punk bands venues weekly. Now gentrification is killing the street rennisance, dive bars are being closed due to obscene rental prices, and people waiting for some thing or some one to do the entertainment. We still have a few places but we need to get together and create. I was very insecure when I was younger. But I have never had turned my back and will always sing_ practice and emulate to train my vocals. I still push friends to come over for a little bit of💩🌪️🤸🤼☕🍄🍻🎶🥁🎹📷🎵🎭📺🕯️🕯️🖋️📁📝🎸🎻🎶📢🚀🛸👂🗯️💀💀💀💀💭🕳️🤘✍️🍄☕📺🎵🎶🎶🎶🎵
