My spare tire carrier on my 86 is completely rusted. Took it off and submerged it in a bucket of used motor oil for a week and still could not free it up. Have you been able to figure out a way to mount it in it's original place without buying a new carrier.

My 1983 2wd pickup bed has rust on the bed panels are your wheel wells and bed floor seperation like mine? Mine have a ton of screws and it APPEARS that you can seperation all the panels from each other and replace certain sections of the bed.

Fuel pump is on the engine, That's the fuel gage sending unit.

It's sound deadener take a hammer and hit it not so hard that it will bend the metal but it will break off in big chunks
