You dont need to crack the throttle when cold, that will bypass the choke circuit. Only crack throttle when warm. Notice how it started when you didnt pull back.
That bike was $2,300 new, what I paid off a dealer floor. It was the first year the prices started shooting up, and really not much more advancement. The 1986 production rule from the FIM did that. My 88 CR250 costs $3,200. I think in 85 they were about $1,700. It was the beginning of a kid not being able to afford his own bike, and the market share today is only about 1/10th of what it was in the late 70's and early 80's. Yep---all the places we rode and practiced, are all grown in. Funny how the younger generations today think the sport is doing great. But the MXGP FIM world championship races have about 15 racers on a 40 racer gate today.
Completely agree! But where do we start that that conversation with the society of butthurt snowflakes? It’s always “somebody else’s fault” or “progress😳”. Used to be plenty of places to ride, not nowadays.
Not the 1986s, they have more torque than a newer one though. I’d say they are close to 40. I have a 1985 yz250 and it’s bored over 0.60 and it is extremely fast and the front end pops up in just about every gear. I haven’t rode a newer yz250 so I don’t know the difference but I’d say they are close.
Nice video (y). But hehe, what what the rumour all about that ''Two strokes starts easier then four strokes''?? That bike right there in the video.. is a biatch!
SWeMX my 86 yz250 starts up first or 2nd kick everytime. This dude needs to stop giving it gas every time he kicks it over. Real good way to flood the engine
32103045 flood carb a lil bit gotta Do it on mine too, put it on left side for second or two, choke on, prime kick 3-5 times, find TDC and kick like all fucking hell while blipping throttle halfway thru.
@@danniellebrightbill9951 ok so prime kick does nothing as not enough vacuum to draw fuel through reeds TDC yes that's good practice Throttle blip well that's debatable Lying it down pointless Rocking pointless Blowing into carb pointless The bike cant be set up properly if all this has to be done I have an 86 yz490 Turn on fuel Pull choke Find tdc Kick Starts in 1 to 3 kicks everytime If not check engine condition Timing, stator, coil ,carb setup, float height, air leaks, plug gap etc etc I never saw a gp rider lying it down, rocking, priming,or any other little trick.A correctly set up two stroke WILL start
32103045 actually professional ice racers lay the bike on the left side for one second to let it flood the carb so get your facts straight, I start my YZ250 everyday you don’t got to tell me how to start it
@@danniellebrightbill9951 not sure at what point I told you how to start your bike? If you want to waste your time with unnecessary stuff carry on but the bike is still set up wrong . I've had 16 two strokes over the years and never implemented any of the aforementioned actions. Good luck with your concoction Oh and if rocking is to mix the fuel why do they do it in gear 🤪
Start it like this buddy. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fjlcCoDKAPo.html. Thats how I start my YZ490 and can sometimes take as many kicks as you. She's a real pig to start. Gotta get high and stand slam as hard as you can to get it started. Great kickstart action though fella.
Opppps...... RU-vid demonitize his video he took his helmet off LOL only reason I'm saying this is cuz they did this to my video when I just took my helmet off 🤣😁
