Awesome!!! After suffering with my confusion of why my oil pressure is pinged high and my coolant temp is dead, you’ve provided my answers!! My coolant temp gauge wire was disconnected and cut off. Trying to find a replacement plug now, then find the wire source to fix my oil pressure pegged high problem. THANK YOU!!
My 87R10 always read cold (90's outside temp) and continued to read cold after replacing temp sensor ,turns out previous owner had removed thermostat. Had me puzzled because gauge never moved off of 100 DEG & it was nearly that hot outside.
I have bought most of my gauges from Shafter Chevrolet in Shafter ca. New Old Stock in great shape ...... or have bought from these guys www.classicindustries.com/shop/1987/chevrolet/truck/parts/dash-components/gauges-oe/ ....... unfortunately for me E-Bay has gotten better but i have gotten 50/50 good and bad parts
@@mbjdiy1778 I have bought a new coolant switch the one that goes on the drive side I ground the wire that goes on there and it jumps the temperature gauge all the way then when I take it off it goes back to low then when I connect the wire back and turn the key it stay low what do you think can be the problem?
