Some people are gonna hate no matter what you say or price trucks at. But the facts are that you guys are doing awesome work and great to deal with. Iv only heard good things about your car lot.
Here's some flack for ya! You're lookin at an 18k truck MAX! Honestly less than that as it's gonna take a min of 25/30k to do this rig back right. Also pretty sure there's more than just a little bit of that "cancer" hidin in and underneath. I've owned several and currently own a daily driven show quality last year model K5 Silverado. Anyway, good luck with the sale. If the price were more realistic, I might nibble on it myself!
we dont disagree heck we wish we could have paid 5000 for it but we all know the market on these trucks is driven by the internet sales on the shows for 50-100k trucks that also are not worth that. We just add our fair margin of profit and roll on. Again if we bought it for less we would sell for less but we are in a high market and we are not passing up on these when we find them
Its a pretty truck, but I believe the interior has been redone, & here's why I say that. Dash pad is clearly a replacement, the factory ones have squared edge around the gage cluster opening. Door panels are NOT factory, as Custom Deluxe is solid plastic(like these started) without map pockets; someone has added those to base level door panels. Seat is most likely from a conversion type truck(as he states Choo-Choo, or other. Gage bezel has been modified at the radio opening, as well as it has the Silverado metal applique, a Custom Deluxe has a Black bezel with chrome trimmed openings. The exterior of the cab has the stainless band above the bed, which wasn't available on Custom Deluxe, UNLESS you ordered 2 tone paint scheme. And the tailgate trim is an add on, it wasn't available on Custom Deluxe. Before someone says what about exterior decor option?" I ask, then where is the hood ornament that would be part of that option? It looks as though someone added a lot of trim from a Silverado to this one. Which is fine but, it's not factory. This is why you need to learn how to read & identify the options on the SPID label, to know how any given truck was built.
@@DavisOffRoad1 man if I had the cash I would’ve jumped on it! I currently own a full custom 1974 GMC High Sierra K25 Camper Special, I absolutely love these old Squarebody trucks, especially the uncommon ones. Great share man!
@@DavisOffRoad1 the fact that it was TBI on a 454 Big block was a surprise to me and the beautiful black paint was almost in perfect condition and I loved the tires man that was a nice touch the tread pattern looked perfect with the truck and that dash pad!!! What the heck?!?! That literally NEVER lasts on these old trucks! I was blown away!
@@racer193wr this truck was set up this way from new it was a conversion company such as choo-choo custom etc that did the upgrades and they are era correct for sure
All in what you can find. This one is not a steal but is a fair deal for a squarebody with great history and very original truck. Just like the 10,000 trucks before it it will sell too just have to find the person that can appreciate it.
