Been waiting for this vid. I love old box trucks from the 70s and 80s. There is something so gorgeous about the simplicity. I always wonder how something so old could look brand new 40 years later. At any rate, if I didn't have my 96' bronco, I would've picked up this truck's cousin last summer when I drove past a house with one for sale in excellent condition. Same color and trim.
I'm 61 and bought a new 2012 Ram express 4x4 single cab short bed silver HEMI. I plan on keeping it till I die as the price of new ones are out of site. I figure if the 30 year old trucks are sought after now mine should be when I'm dead. NICE TRUCK.
Fantastic truck. In the early 1990s I was driving in my old Galaxy 500 up Flatrock Road in Martinsburg New York on the Tug Hill Plateau and coming down the road was THIS TRUCK. Three big pollock farmers with guns coming back from Somme illegal hunting were inside. They pulled close enoug to me that I couldn’t pass and continue up the road. They wanted to know where I was going (I was on my way up the hill to a piece of property my family had for many years) they didn’t recognize me. I guess they thought I’d be intimidated but ALL I COULD DO WAS STARE AT THAT BEAUTIFUL TRUCK. The left after I told them what I was doing but I’ll always remember that truck... and here it is!!! Great looking truck, had one pretty much like it, Hey not sure where you grew up, but where I am from everyone had a 4x4, so when you say in 87 not many around, shit even though GM is not releasing the production numbers, there were a few hundred thousand of them made, in that body from 73- 87, 87 is the last year for the square body.
Love that squared front ..hated it back then but love it now 😅.. Wonder in 25 years if I will love the 2021 Chevy/ gmc front?? Highly dout !!!! Love to have this truck for a resto mod ..a supercharged modern 6.0 and suspension some disc brakes all the way around , a 6 speed manual trans, shiiiii
You mean protesters and haters are going to through rocks and bricks at it, and if you are Lucky you get to patch only one bullit hole " nice truck" but I wouldn't want something as nice as this.
