Well, what does a man do on a free Sunday afternoon?? Drive a couple hundred miles and buy a 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria Police for $300!! That hasn't ran......in gosh knows how long.
I have two Crown Victoria wagons with the 150 H.P. 302 V8 automatic overdrive transmissions. One is a 1987 and the other is the last year Ford made the big wagon 1991. Both are 8 passenger and the 1991 is an LX model with all the bells and whistles. And to top that off last January I bought a creampuff 1989 Mercury Grand Marquis LS sedan that only had 67,000.0 miles on it. The 1987 I have owned since June of 1988 and now has 246,000.0 miles on it and still runs like a watch. The last compression test showed an even 150 PSI reading for each cylinder. The 1991 had both engine and transmission rebuilt in 2020 and is a rust free car like the Mercury. Congratulations to you on your 1987 find and good luck with the project.
I know this video was out a few years ago but I was just curious to see if you had a rear sway bar for 87 through 91 crown Victoria. Thank you. 🇺🇲🏁🏁🏁😎🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁
I sourced all parts from ebay, unfortunately a lot of these cars end up being parted out. My other source was finding and buying an entire other car for part. Ironically the parts car ended up being in much better condition than this one. So the tan car became the parts car. See the other videos for that one!
Welcome to the channel bud! This one is now on the 'backburner' as the parts car I bough is in such amazing condition, it is going to get the new motor treatment (built small block 302). Who knows what is in store for this guy....a friend of mine does have a 1969 428 big block engine for sale....
