Watch one of your videos, plan to spend more money... Really, it's nice to see someone going in-depth on older toys so I can get an idea of what I want or will pass on, since the Joe line has hundreds of figures and vehicles and buying blind isn't always the best option. It's also nice knowing what breakage risks to watch out for when looking, since eBay sellers do not always go into detail on such things, it really depends on the exact seller if they even note certain things. Yo Joe Outlet is a good seller, and they're close enough to me I get the parts I order in a day. Grabbed a few spare guns and such from them recently.
Great review Kevin, as always. I saw you had the GI Joe Steel Brigade figure on the Joe vehicle you used as an example. I remember sending away for that figure and filling out the info for the custom file card. That was such a cool concept back then and I'd really like to see a review on it if you get the chance. Keep up the good work!
I didn't notice this before but as I got older the GI Joe vehicles got crappier with each passing year. My favorite era will always be 1982-1986 for Cobra and Joe vehicles.
The Joe's had several; 1983 Headquarters, 1985 Tactical Battle Platform and 1992 Headquarters (different from the first). I've only reviewed the first two.
Another great review! I always thought the 2002 Shock Viper made a good driver for the Adder due to the red, blue and black uniform. As for a G.I. Joe counterpart how about the 1988 Wart Hog with Sgt. Slaughter? Both are from 1988 and both have twin missiles.
aah too bad you put that "mad max-kinda figure in it , i was just wondering what classic Cobra would really fit....(checking all your cobra reviews right now ) hehe ... ok iron Grenadier coz of the package ofc but .... 1986 Viper, the 1984 Scrap-Iron and the 1982 Cobra Soldier/ Officer have good colors for it ... nice review again .
