I had one back in the day. Superb bike - with the right cans on the exhaust it sounds the part and goes reasonably well. Of course some people will go "why would you want that - it's not a sports bike", which is rather missing the point of it. Nobody ever said it was or should be. It's a great cruiser, it's for relaxing on and enjoying the passing scenery, not for trying to convince yourself you're setting lap records. Kick back and enjoy it and stick to licence-friendly speeds and you'll enjoy yourself. To be honest I found it's relaxing, laid-back style a much better way to enjoy myself on hot summer nights than nervously trying to set lap records for the neighbourhood. You'll also live longer that way. :-) It's actually nice to see cruiser machines like the CMX500 and XV950r - feels like they're coming out of the Ersatz period at last.

If you look up the horsepower of the 750 it says 63 horsepower but if you look up the 800 it says 55 horsepower. No, I don't know if it's because of emissions or or because of the tariff only allowing 750cc being imported they made it a. Beast even beastlier than the 800

Where is the starter motor located ?

Crazy how that has 30k but it's in better shape than my bike. That only has 10k mine's more. Rusty from sitting but it has way less miles so after I fix it up it's going to be meant numbers matching two. It's not a scam it's a 1990 paid $600 USD
