1988 USHRA Mud Racing Series Tampa, FL 

This is the most genuine monster truck event i've seen. Close races, anxiety, obscene amount of horsepower. Duraliner Giant wins the "best, meanest looking" contest. Aces High looks incredible too.

Margo King was definitely the best female announcer USHRA ever had. She seemed to have some understanding of mechanical knowledge

This has got to be one of the last hurrahs for Stage 1 trucks, to have so many at a show in 1988. Not even a single OBS Chevy body in sight.

The Virginia Beach Beast was actually based on a M3 Stuart tank. We can see by the number of road wheels and the large rear sprocket. The M4 tank doesn't have that large rear sprocket, it have a larger number of road wheels instead.
