Late Night with David Letterman.... I wish somebody would have told me not to have dubbed and redubbed all of my vhs tapes in case I would be sharing them with a zillion people...
I was watching that night. My friends and I would stay up late and watch the show and talk about it the next day. I can tell you that Mandy DID bring a tear to my eye then and it does now. I’ve heard stories about how he can be difficult to deal with on-set. … but that voice! If it were true you’d put up with it for that voice! When he opens his mouth the angels sigh. 34 years later it is still a highlight!
OH MY GOODNESS. He's magnificent on Dead Like Me and Criminal Minds and stuff. But, like, he's a stage actor with this gorgeous voice. Check him out in Sunday in the Park with George and The Secret Garden!
