TOO CLOSE TO CALL!!! The dead heat of 1989, the only one in 95 editions of the Hambletonian. Both horses split the heats and had to come back for a 3rd duel. Fan were treated to a thrilling stretch duel as Ron Waples and Bill Fahy urged their colts to stick a nose in front!
