There's something about old pulling that makes it so kuch more fun to watch than modern pulling. Although I can't say I miss these days since I was 14 years away from being born, I wish pulling was like this again.
Totally! When you have guys like Jaske & Leischner running Aries, the Banters running 4 Chevys, Gardner running 4 T-Jets, a double Allison/double chevy tractor, & those are all just here! There were so many creative combinations that everyone tried with backyard engineering (at it's finest) back then. These days, most things have been proven to work or not & anyone can find that out on-line, so it's just repetition of similar trucks & tractors with different skins.
Tractor pulling was Tractor pulling back through the 70s into the 90s. I always liked the 9 and unlimited mods (and the supers). Always fun to watch the Arias, Rodeck, JP-1 Hemis, Jets, Allisons and Dave Banter walking right past them with their Chevy truck engines.
Loved going to the Ohio State fair in the 80s and 90s and enjoying the pulls. Attended the winternationals in the 90s almost every year held in the colosseum at the fair grounds. Took my son to his first monster jam yesterday and was telling him about tractor pulls and how awesome they were.... Have a few questions though, I now live in sc and wonder if they still have tractor and truck pulls nowadays? Do any of these tractors and trucks still exist? Do they still compete? Thanks for the uploads....so many awesome memories....
