Behind the scenes of the Midget project, I had also been working on my 1990 CB-1. I had to go through almost everything!
After a lot of work it runs great and doesn't leak a drop of anything!
Enjoy the beautiful sound at 10 grand!
I love this bike!

I owned the same bike from 1993 to 2009. I put over 100000 mls on it without any major problems or repairs. Beautiful bike, reliable, easy handling, low costs. It was just fun all over the years. Now i am 55 years old and i'm thinking if i buy me again a used cb1, just for fun and revive the memories😉. Nice video by the way. Greetings from Germany.

@@manfredklitschke2645 beyond cool! Mine has been amazing too. Starts right up every time and runs great. I’m hoping to squeeze a little more power out of it with and exhaust and some jetting soon, because I can actually dyno tune it at work. Appreciate the comment, glad to hear someone else loves these things 🤘🏻

@@ddubsgarage8285 As far as i know there is still a Dynojet Stage 1 Carburator Kit from micron systems available and also sport air filters.I wish you good luck for your tuning project to squeeze some more power out of the cb1. One thing i can tell you from my experience is to avoid high revs with cold oil and change oil often, at least once a year and the engine will last a long time. Have fun with it.

@@manfredklitschke2645 awesome I'll have to do some digging to find some power adders like that. My twin brother has one with a kerker exhaust and some jetting and it feels so much faster than mine haha. Thanks for the tips man, appreciate it! Excited to see where this project takes me. maybe you'll find another one one day!

This was my driving school‘s bike in 1992, restricted to 27 hp for the German 1a license. Such a great bike to get your license on!

I agree! This is my second bike I have ever owned, but oh man I would be the coolest guy on the block if it was my first and I rode it to high school 😂🤘🏻

It is alive, but you might soon not be with so much smoke in that garage! :)

@@ddubsgarage8285 Well I'm probably not going to do that haha :) I am a bit curious what a reasonable price would be for a "barn find" 6k odometer sitting since 09 would be. I messed around with an 82 Goldwing for a minute, cleaned carbs, rebuilt brakes, ect. I lost interest as the bike was really just a dumpster fire haha, but anyway unless those 80's Clippedwings are in like "Great" condition you really can't give them away. So... anyway.. that was just a long winded way of asking what are those CB-1's worth?

@@FacialVomitTurtleFights to be honest I don’t really know what they are worth. they seem to be the rare kind of bike that hasn’t really had a price to reflect it because no one seems to know what they even are.

make sure to replace the recitifier/regulator unit. They will fail!

thanks for the tip! idk if I'm crazy but I think the bike was charging at 18 volts last time I checked. I think I just tried to sweep that under the carpet. Maybe I should look into it hahah

The voltage regulator did go bad! It was overcharging the battery and the battery had actually expanded from overheating a couple times. New battery and rectifier and boom it charges like a dream 👍🏻
