Bang on, bang on. I love classical music, but for some reason I can listen to these bikes for ages. Unlike a sympathy, not much in the way of development in the sound, but then it does not need any.

Hislops White Charger lapped at 123.5 mph reputedly clocking over 200mph a couple of weeks before during testing. Saw it at the NMM, the tape to help direct cooling air to the engine was still on it and the front mudguard was still missing

Check out Snetterton Race Of Aces 1989 on here to see how fast they were compared with the Japanese works bikes , but don't blink, L.O.L.

@flip inheck its odd to try to measure the displacement of motors that operate in such different ways. But thats how people have to make things fair.

The amount of people using fossil fuel powered vehicle just to grab a litre of milk or some Macca's that's 500m down road is ridiculously stupid, hmmmm let me just start up my 6lt commo ute instead of walking for a few minutes. I'm in Australia, so it might another 100 years before that rule comes in. The only issue with this no fossil fuels thing is no turbofan engines, that'll be a long time I suppose buthe only engine sound I'll miss. Rotary engines are terribly fuel inefficient, but I clicked because they sound sweet.

Material is getting lighter and stronger. But I think its pure because of the surface of the road. It is a public road 😅

@@dylansaey1198 I'd bet all my bikes its because material is getting lighter and stronger, I did 150 on my 99 Blade and it moved everywhere but 150 on new RR is like doing 40mph in the days gone by

@@tonyalanmarchant9099 When on the absolute limit maybe, but that new limit is 60 to 70 mph greater in some spots. Modern suspension gives so much more traction and breaking, I used to be spinning the rear wheel accelerating hard our of bends now the suspension doesn't hop it just helps get the power down

@@a9503128 yes for sure. I noticed it with the dirtbikes I have ridden. From the 90's and a 2014 model is a huuuuugggeee difference 😅

My thoughts are the same, I was always rooting for big Trev.Met him a couple of times, a really genuine down to earth friendly bloke.

@@235buz This is the rotary Norton which were long before the recent CEO, though before they went bankrupt again he did developed a 4 cylinder race bike that competed at the TT. However, after they went bankrupt they were bought by an Indian company keen to keep Nortons heritage and have just opened a new factory in Birmingham, so they could well be back at the TT soon.
