@@TheJds1993that’s because back then folks really had a reason to praise. They realized they needed Jesus. Nowadays folks ain’t worried bout Jesus as long as their lives are going good. Nowadays folks don’t realize they STILL need a savior. Folks back then did and they went through a lot! The Holy Spirit was in the house! I wish I could just go back in time so I could sit shoulder to shoulder and have real church. I have a good church home though where my daddy is the pastor. True doctrine. We’re small but we have real church ❤
AMEN! I was a young church usher in a COGIC church and believe me, I took the job very very seriously and loved it. We were thoroughly trained,saved , sanctified and anointed for the job.
When the Holy ghost gave the believer a style of dance of their own, now days everyone got this one, two, one ,two, dip step, when did we all dance the same, I remember when the spirit would hit, some people danced some fell out And some ran, some lost shoes, clothes and glasses but the people never dance, this cute little dance, come on saints, let's get back to the ol wats if worship,
The days when men were men and they were straight, praise the Lord, full of the Holy Spirit the 90s tasted out in the Holy Spirit move. I love it. I love it praise the Lord.

I am reading the comments and thinking, most of the people are talking about the way church used to be. WE (as in the people commenting) are the church now. Where is your power? I ain’t got time to pay attention to what used to be or what others are doing now. I’m praising for me and my anointing ain’t changed.
U know I remember in the 90s n so forth when I was church use to be just like what u saw then but now u dnt see that churches anymore because these churches u go dnt praise the Lord like they say they do be we as gods people has got to continue on what he's asking us to n that's to rejoice n praise him
The praising doesn't seem fake or forced....no heads full of wigs and weaves...no super long lashes...no men in tight suits...no men in skinny leg pants.... I hope that's not being too judgemental. Lord please forgive me if I'm wrong. The praise feels sincere.
Well I saw a lot of instructions given before the praise breaks just like today (lift your hands, turn around jump three times touch you neighbor. And as far as the suits at that time men weren’t wearing the skinny suits at that time because it wasn’t the style. Even the funny men wore baggy suits, and the whole dress down thing started in the mid to late 90s so that’s why there’s a difference
I can remember a little bitty Pentecostal church that the mothers would come in early and and be go around to each chair and pray and cry over it. When you needed prayer you could ask one of these women to lay hands on you- and pray for you. When the mother for you you FELT something. My mother was one of these precious saints. I remember kids would tell my mother they were going to have a test or look for a job or had a headache they would take my mother’s hand and put it on their heads. Also they would tell my mother their prayers got answered. I’m sorry but this just doesn’t happen so much anymore. Churches aren’t ‘prayed out’ anymore. Most folks don’t even know what that means. I do.
Praise breaks are my favorite part of church. These clips are the old school way. Sadly we dint have church like this no more every thing is for the next 30 seconds" or "we gotta move on ."
Or look at brother or sister so and so like it's Soul Train. I want someone to look at me and experience salvation and deliverance and not just my moves. I don't claim to have the best dance but when I think of the goodness of Jesus, I move like I feel it and it's never the same. I thank God for salvation and delivering me so many times..
That first vid… bring this music back please!!! This was when the church actively participated in the praise with their hands etc… the church was the click track. Now not so much, all simulation (almost arcade like in nature) smh
Wonderful! Without that infinity of samples that make it seem like you're shouting inside a computer, and not in a church. They should stop using that.
