The Bash Guard Sport is one of the most iconic bikes in early Mid School BMX history. Before getting started on the restoration, we take a closer look at the history of this iconic model from Haro Bikes, and explore why I think it is one of the most influential BMX bikes from the early 1990's.
We touch on how the Haro Sport came to be part of the line in the early 80's, its development as a progressive ramp, park, and street bike, and look at how the emergence of mid school freestyle lead to the launch of the iconic "Bash Guard" models we know and love from the early 90's.
This is the first episode in a 4 part series that will cover the restoration of a survivor condition 1991 Haro "Bash Guard" Sport BMX bike.
