when this car was presented (1990) I was 18.. and I almost turned around at this sight. Only 1 year later came the _BUGATTI EB110_ (for me the most beautiful car in the world) and then in 1993 the _McLaren F1_ .. In the 80s and 90s, incredible cars were built. Now almost only extremely heavy hybrid hypercars (crammed with electronics) I don't like them anymore
Ho pensato la stessa cosa. Inizia a tirare in seconda, poi abbocca la terza , molla subito il gas e pigia la frizione per 7 secondi per poi rimanere in terza 😂😂😂😂
Totally agree. Also the way to hold the steering wheel is embarrassing, also he should not go with the right hand on the gear lever all the time, only the right hand is used to shift the gears and then he must return the hand to the steering wheel.
Everyone talking about his manual driving skills has no idea what it takes to drive something with a high performance clutch. Supercars from this time are absolutely brutal to drive. My car has a cerametalic clutch. It's basically an on off switch. You have to slip it to get the car to move smoothly at all. Everyone who drives my car stalls it.
@@pimuce its upstanding on that age and still beautiful you can t compare it to newer versions thats dumb asf off course as a vintage look if its vintage age fool
At 2.53 he holds the clutch in for 7 seconds, that's not good 1) for damage to the clutch & 2) for car control! The clutches on manual Diablos apparently didn't last if treated badly. Likely to be expensive!
This driving is fine. He is conserving the car. I've been driving sports cars with MT for over 50 years. I would clutch the vehicle differently moving through the garage, but under 2000 rpm on a flat surface you are not going to toast it. - Sandy
Did you not know on RU-vid everyone is filthy rich, masters degree in ASTRO physics, the strongest, the fastest, the best ufc fighter, the best boxer and anything else my stupid brain could not think off. It's pointless to argue..
Just wait a bit next guy will be the window button expert. The passenger will get grilled for something he did wrong. The hand/steering wheel expert is here. We still waiting on the indicator expert...
Diablo and McLaren F1 v12s have pretty similar heavy deep low pitched sounds unlikely the v12 Ferraris like F50 where it has a more high pitched kinda musical sound ... both are awesome though :)
1991 hatte ich keine Zeit mich mit Sportwagen zu beschäftigen. Der Diablo hätte mir aber damals auch schon gefallen. Heute bin ich der größte Fan der Autos mit dem Stier ❤❤
What a beautiful car. Brings back memories of the old need for speeds like hot pursuit. Is the shifter on this car original, is it me or does it look a little high in comparison to the driving position and steering wheel, seems like abit of a stretch. Nevertheless a really cool car and the sound is great even the gear gaiter sound.
My God the sound is MORE addictive than ANY drug/alcohol lousy mpg but IF i could afford one I DO NOT CARE about mpg Stunning car simply amazing a TRUE classic before it,s time FABULOUS looking car!!!!!!!!!!!! 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the upload. This is as close as I’ll ever get to driving one of these beasts. But to be honest if I didn’t own it , knowing I had to give it back would force me off a bridge somewhere.
Wow! I've never seen anyone learning how to drive in a Lamborghini before. The lucky guy didn't even stalled the engine at the first launch, and the gated shifter sure helped him not to clash the gears, but the poor clutch had suffered a lot more than the necessary. Anyway, that should be enough for the driver's license test.
@@aproapemasini6066 Heavy clutch or not this guy is massacring the poor car, I learnt to drive in a '65 Land Rover series 2, I can say with chest that one of those has a heavier clutch than a diablo
@@ZanKurent but he is not that good either. going out of gear on the highway is weird, also it doesnt look like he blips the throttle at downshifts, heel and toe is completely unknown and doing faster upshifts to meet correct revs is not done either.
@@neohimself I noticed that at 2:35 he's also out of gear while turning. Way of operating steering wheel also looks immature. From the beginnig of video I thought something's wrong with driver. I could drive better in first 2 months of having license. Or maybe insurance is over and the guy is just stressed :D
many moons ago i used to walk by an exotic car dealer location at night. they were always open late for some reason. i would walk in the showroom and oggle their new black lamborghini diablo. no one ever came out to say hi. never saw a salesperson or anyone. i never touched the car of course. i think they knew who i was after a while and just left me alone. was pretty sweet to be that close to the car with no one around
People who comment about the clutch have certainly NEVER driven a car with a sports clutch ... let alone a SUPERCAR with a manual gearbox. Don't talk nonsense.
It's important to consider that many modern performance vehicles don't have the same issues with clutches that older cars did. From Wikipedia's numbers, a 91 Diablo has similar peak HP and less peak TQ than a 392 Challenger, but the manual in a 392 Challenger is extremely easy to operate, and the Challenger is a significantly heavier vehicle as well. Just like people that are coming into cars now will never know turbo lag as it was in the old days, these same people will never know the clutch technology that you had to deal with in the old days for what is considered today to be mid-level power.
Whatever you say in defense for this dude, you can never defend him for holding that god damn arm on the stick whole damn time. It hurt me to watch the video for more than 20 seconds. I had to stop. It is a rule number one in all beginners driving schools. You can hold the stick for faster shifting, BUT you can NOT hold your hand up on it and put pressure on transmission down below. End of story. This guy sucks
Actually the driver doesn't know how to drive a manual either. He is shifting way more and using higher gears than what the rev would require, which is bad for all kind of engines moreover for sport cars.
For the people commending him on how he's a good man and not driving it hard your soft as well. You 100% are not gonna hurt it. Only thing he's hurting is the clutch
Nobody asked the peanut gallery to comment. Quit putting others down just to feel a sense of self-righteous superiority because I guarantee you would have stalled it out.
@@duralate I don't think so kid but anyways read the rest of the comments from the "peanut gallery", they're not so kind as mine, as I never put anybody down. The clutch and gearshift were treated like crap from a young novice driver, get over it. But anyway, kudos to him for having the opportunity to drive that legendary car!
That's how you would grab the wheel if you where to make a sharp turn at low speed in a car without powersteering. Not sure why he was doing it tho. xD
Reminds me so much, when i brought my countach S to mikes workshop. He would, take me out in customers cars he had finished working on. 3 diablos, one countach qv and a f355. Thank you Carrera Sport.
That’s not the clutch. That’s the straight teethed gearbox. And I don’t think that the car is on temperature overall. But your right, the driver is horrible ⚙️🔨 Stirs in the gearbox like he’s a chef 😂
Владивосток . Вчера поймал 3 ведра камбалы и жена увезла на рынок , на машине Мицубиси Динго ..., а в Ламборгини некуда поставить 3 ведра рыбы .., и стоит неприлично дорого .
The simplicity is amazing all mechanical feel like you need skill to drive this nowadays anyone can drive the latest lambos and a lot of them breakdown more often that these mechanical lambos.
@@Toxic2T @Nicolas T I was mainly commenting the coasting. If you have been racing or driving hard, the engine looses the chance to cool itself down before stopping.... you get heatsoak. Another thing is what I have been told when I learned to drive is, never leave the car out of speed when driving. Because you always want full control of the car. Which is not the case when coasting. You also loose engine braking capability. Also no rev matching when downshifting and shifting into gear again 😔 Thats just my opinion.
@@spiKey0svetlana For sure this is not his daily driver and he is not used to the clutch that could be the reason why he coasts and honestly if thats the case its better that he did so than try and slam the shifter into the gear especially without rev matching which you correctly pointed out. Also ive heard couple of times that coasting makes the car spend less petrol which in case of the modern cars makes no sense.
