It is fun how much better equipped cars were shipped to the States. We had 1.6Td here without trunk spoiler, no ABS, no power steering or electric windows. Same thing happens today, also it is much cheaper in the States than it is in EU
@@xFactoryUSA I don't think it's just that, you can buy an E or S class here without leather or fancy gadgets with weak diesel engine. I think it's more because they want to maintain their image and exclusivity in the States. Brand new Passat (fully equipped) is cheaper in the States by some 15K$ and afaik, VW is losing money over there just to take over the market. Anyone who lives in the States will buy a new car and import it here since it's a lot cheaper + you get all the fancy equipment 🤷🏻
They screwed up when it came to what make the Acclaim was near to end of the video I want to point out. An Acclaim was a Plymouth and the Chrysler version was the LeBaron.
