the greatest time of my life. I remember watching it to see who won the 4pm games. And Bermans nicknames were hilarious. The music, the player names, just such great memories.
I wonder how many falcon fans were thinking, Damn Favre has only played a few games in the nfl and is already more productive than any QB on our roster? And we traded him ! For who ever they drafted with that pick they got for him?
In the falcons defense, favre did say he deserved to be cut for partying too hard. He put on like 40 pounds in atlanta. Short sighted of the falcons but I remember favre was a turnover machine those first couple years in Green Bay. I remember holmgreen benching him against the vikes for throwing a pick 6 lol
Terry Allen, a tough, talented RB ... Its strange that LT ends his career trying to chase the up and coming superstar Favre ... Marchibroda could develop QBs but not Jeff George ... Buffalo made a mistake giving up on Lofton in 1993 ...
@@johnharris750 January 1995 was the loss to Dolphins in wildcard round in Miami. Marino retired Montana. January 1996 was the divisional round game vs Colts at Arrowhead where Marty didn’t pull Bono for Gannon sooner and the kicker missed three FG’s in a 10-7 loss. That one really stung. Worse than the January 2014 28 point collapse vs Colts at Indy.
34:14 - 34:16...the line judge moves to allow dolphins a first down and the sticks don't lie...the judge starts at the line if scrimmage and moves to the first down marker... that's a illegal pass...
I thought the Dolphins were going to be something special this season: they were pretty decent, but they faded a bit after their 6-0 start, and surprisingly i believe their defense was stronger than their offense in 1992 (I still think the best Dolphins team since 1984 was the 1990 edition).
@@cbod14 That team was alright (10-6, the arrival of Tim Bowens on defense, Marino's last big passing season, a fairly good job by Bernie Parmalee running the ball), but I think the best they could've done was get to the Super bowl, but not win it (I feel only the Steelers had any kind of true title shot coming out of the AFC in 1994; it was going to be either the 49ers or Cowboys). That 1992 Dolphins team likely wouldn't have won either, but since they couldn't get past the Bills in the AFC Championship Game (the bills almost always played well in Miami anyway), I guess it doesn't really matter.
@@cbod14 True, and they did have the Chargers on the ropes in the first half of the Divisional Playoff round. If Pete Stoyanovich makes the field goal at the end of the game there, then it would've been on to Pittsburgh for them. The Steelers one flaw was that they weren't really able to score multiple touchdowns (what bit them in the title game against the Chargers; although they could move the ball well), and the Dolphins could stop the run (Bowens really meant THAT much that season) , so with similar defensive play like in the regular season game and some big plays, it was certainly possible that they could win. I'd still take the 1990 Dolphins though:-). Looking back for me, that 1994 Chargers team was a nice story, but in the 2000's they seemingly had stronger rosters that never advanced as far as that particular team. The 1994 Chargers never struck me as a team that could win the Super Bowl (another AFC team led to the slaughterhouse), but place that team in the NFL seasons of 2005-2012, then maybe they win (again though, the Chargers that played in that era looked like they should've been headed for bigger things).
