In my opinion Jimmy Johnson is the greatest coach ever coach football he had an eye for where to put players and if he had stayed in Dallas they would have won several more Super Bowls
Jimmy was a great coach for sure but I don’t think he would have lasted much longer even in Dallas. He wasn’t the type of coach to be in any one place for 10 years, he even said that himself. His style was balls to the wall for 4-5 years and that was it.
Doubtful. They had about 5 hall of famers on that squad that were irreplaceable and once they fell out of their primes, the run would end. Jimmy couldn't stop that and other good teams rose up. With the exception of 94, they got about what they would get
Anybody can coach with that much draft capital and talent. Dallas would’ve just above average by 1996 with or without Jimmy. Jimmy was absolute garbage with the Miami Dolphins and ended his career there getting his ass handed to him with no hair gel 62-7.
i stayed at the team hotel (l.a. hilton) the night before the game. aikman just happened to step into the elevator while i and a few fans were in it on our way down to pick up our tickets via dallas cowboys travel. had told jerry jones to bring 'em back (pasadena) in january the evening before, in the hotel lobby. pretty cool couple of days. even better was going to the rose bowl to see 'em stomp the bills that following january.
i dont mean to be off topic but does someone know a way to log back into an Instagram account? I was stupid forgot the account password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me

One of the most impressive games by the Cowboys in that 1992 season - the Raiders were dysfunctional as they always were back then but still had a lot of talent and Dallas went in and flat-out bitchslapped them in their own place. This was the first time I saw the Cowboys as potential Super Bowl champs that year.
And what's worse was, my Raiders were on a 3 game winning streak, including 'bitchslapping' the Bills. So it felt like a chance to really recapture the season. Instead, Dallas showed they were just in another class. It wasn't as bad as the 28-13 score though.
I can't believe what I just saw (rotflmao), with 4:23 in the 4th qrt Jay Novacek sent the (Trojan Hitting) Ronnie Lott parachuting across the field...wow!
Mannnnnn, the NFL was at it's best in the 90's!!!!! Major rule changes, 4 city relocations, 2 expansion teams, 2 team name changes, many uniform changes and many new stadiums!!!!!
I get mad at penalties called on Dallas in 1992 lol. Just like when I was a kid. Rewatching it I’m just as upset wiping out our 52 yard punt return lol
I remember my brothers , close friend & my brothers future wife went to the coliseum & the 🎫 were all gone ( sold out) & went to a Mexican restaurant back to Santa Monica, Ca. & saw the game there. How about them boys 1992& 1993( back- to back champs!😎💪☀📹📷🎥💻🏈🏆🇺🇸
FACT: LA RAIDERS games were hardly ever, if never on LOCALTV for home games. One: They were starting to slide and 2. LA fans were bandwagon anyway. Also in fairness the place sat 90,000 and the NFL should have been a little bit lax, 3, California base Cowboys fans are NOT....I EPEAT NOT BANDWAGON and Cowboys sold the stadium out. OMG the amount of my fellow Cowboys fan that day was no BS 70-30% in favor of Americas Team. In fact Sports Illustrated did that week a cover story of the Cowboys. BTW, FUCK THAT SI JINX. The next week The Cowboys destroyed the eagles Emmitt ran over the eagles SOOO BAD and the Cowboys beat shit out of them soo bad...former (big mouth TRAITOR) Eagles guard Brian Balldinger was a bloody mess. The eagles DT's Mike Golic and Mike Pitts were gasping for air and both of them were bloody as hell. This was also the day when Cowboys RT ERIK WILLIAMS started a 9 year reign of beating the shit out of Reggie White. For a Cowboys fan like m e Philly....OMG ERIK WILLIAMS from NORTH PHILLY OMG OMG beat the shit out of his hometown hero LOL LOL. AMERICA'S TEAM..THIS DAY RIGHT HERE....OH YEAH...the resurrection was well under way.
felony, i remember the next week vs. the eagles. was the revenge game from the MNF beating that dallas took earlier that year. when i rode in the elevator with troy the day of the raider game, i told him, "gotta get these guys today. next week, too." he looked at me, like..."duh".
NOTE: The play by play announcer is the infamous Cowboys hater James Brown (JB) from Fox. He is a huge redskins fans. Already he is up to his shit saing K-Mart was afraid to go over the middle.
