I think this vid is a great example of why MJ fans and LeBron fans don't get along, they both represent a different psychology when it comes to the game. MJ's a product of a time, where superstars reveled in beating each other and getting the other to submit to the superiority of their rival. Magic wants to show here that he's still the best leader/player in the league; Charles wants to show Karl Malone that he's the best PF; Clyde wants to show MJ he's the best SG. Those rivalries were what the league was built on, with stars fighting other stars for supremacy, and that energy spread to the team, and by extension the city they played for. LeBron's era is quite different. Superstars seem to rush to want to play with each other. LeBron wants to play with Steph. KD wanted to be a Warrior. LeBron wanted to play with Wade and stack talent to defeat the Celtics. The whole combining forces not to show that your best, but just to win a ring, has often come at the expense of individual, team and city rivalries. Which is why these rings that are won, don't seem to have the same feel for them, because the intensity of those championships doesn't exist.
Nah bro u have a slight point but that is not the reason Lebron joined Wade first off all these players even in the 90s wanted to play together they were just prideful to not do it and the reason atleast I’m the early 2010s super teams particularly Lebron and kds Kobe’s was thing was because there franchises unlike these players in the 90s wasn’t doing them right and putting them in situations to be suc kd while that was a weak move ahead a legit reason to dip his team Westbrook we all know his flaws okc let go of James harden let go of reggie Jackson fired there coach that took them to the finals past 2012 they just went backwards in Lebrons case the cavs management same thing let go of a young Carlos boozer dispite him being a restricted free agent didn’t trade for amari stoudmire and instead got old man shaq and antwan Jamison like Lebrons best teamate was a 6 foot no Williams now compare that malone who had Stockton his entire time in Utah Jordon who got grant and Scottie by his 4 year magic who jumped right in with Kareem Barkley who left philly for a better team tye only superstar of this era who really didn’t get much help as far as stat help or top tier role players was hakeem and it took The dominant teams of the 80s aging out and Jordon retiring the first time for them to scale the mountain and they even tried to stack the deck with Barkley and Drexler
That’s funny, seeing how Jordan won most of his rings beating his buddies. The guys that weren’t his friends were beating him and sending him crying to David Stern.
Magic Johnson is the real goat he got hiv which made the nba not be able to speak about him how they should because of business reasons. This man was the best player on the best team in this best era of basketball. The Media lied to y’all. 80s,00s,010s, 90s, 70s that’s how the era’s should be ranked y’all need to learn about nba expansion
