Today I replace my old waisted Speakers with some new 5.25 Kicker Speakers! The Kicker speakers fitted perfect and have good sound quality!

Hey there, super helpful video. My daughter just picked up a 1992 Laredo, all four speakers were in the same condition. 😂 almost a year after your install, are you happy with these 5.25” kickers? What did you end up selecting for your rears? They are also 5.25” so we’re working out what frequency ranges we want to use there. 😊

Alot of people don't realize you can put 6.5 in front doors and 6x9's in the rear hatch. It's so easy to do. Alot better mid bass than 5.25's

How did you get the trunk panel off to get to the speakers in the trunk door?

Same as the sides, pullout those tabs and than you lift it off of the top lip

ok so I know the 6.5 didn't fit but what if you used self tappers maybe do you think it would work or maybe going to a size 6?

Also Google the year of your jeeps wiring diagram. Its simple. Just take time to understand what your doing before doing it

Speaker polarity doesn't matter as long as they're matching

Polarity does matter...they gotta push&pull at the same time or they will cancel each other out...especially on the bass 🔊

@@doilusa exactly, that's why I said it doesn't matter as long as they match. If you go red to black on every speaker it'll sound the same as if you went red to red, but if they don't all match you'll get cancelation

Nope, only if you don't use crimps.

@@FreeznOffRoad thanks I installed mine in my 2000 sport today, just spliced the wire farther down and twisted them together and electrical taped them together (cause I lost the crimps smh)
