If you think the 10 prices are low look at 9s, barely going for grading fees. It's insane. I bought about 20 PSA 9s for my set recently off PWCC for under $25 including buyer fees, tax, and shipping.
I've got em all. Came up on a binder full at a flea market one day and started talking to the guy at the end of the day about the plumbing parts he had for sale and he unloaded a bunch of stuff on me for less than $40. I sold the plumbing parts at work and have been hanging on to these binders for over 10years
I've got all 119 cards. mint 100 Base set (99+1 checklist), 5 battle cards, 5 limited cards, 6 promo cards and the 3 prototype cards all signed by Joe Jusko. I've had these since 1992, plus the uncut sheet of prototype cards signed, and an opened tin container... signed. I don't know how much I would get for all those.
Great video, and very timely. I decided to start working on a full graded set (PSA 9s or 10s) a couple months ago (got about 50 so far) and I've been looking for deals on eBay and PWCC. I am actually the buyer of that PSA 10 Storm card :) Sorry I snaked you (I also bought the Mojo, Green Goblin, and Blaze from the eBay recent sold listings). I really think this set is WAY undervalued/oversold right now so I am a buyer for sure
So, what's the point to psa valuation for these cause I have like 1 - 60 un graded... And to my untrained eye. 80 percent of them as 9s at least. Maybe I'm foolish
‘92 is the BEST. It’s the original which will hold up over time. The set is tough because the packs brick really easily. I was lucky with 1 box but my other box was a nightmare. 1993 is even worse! Battle Spectras are RAD. Great content keep it up. Marvel Cards Baby!
Great video man! Interesting how Wolverine had a bumb in October. Interesting how the announcement of the Deadpool Wolverine movie maybe making waves out there. Love love love it keep it up!
I have a Marvel Masterpieces Series 1limited Tin Can set 22,807 of 35,000. Wondering is it worth much? It in really great condition with all the limited edition cards included.
Thank you for the mention, there’s always going to be exceptions to aggregate views. Really it’s all about price entry. If you’re buying at the low and it’s practically at the cost to grade plus cost of a raw, it’s a pretty decent buy.
I grew up in the 90s now I'm an adult with kids I collect for nostalgia and because I love for my kids to see the artwork and experience it. Just bought the 1992 masterpiece base set off eBay for 60.00 it's a bit of money but for the price of a shitty video game I just got a set that will last generations
Love this set. The original masterpieces set, it's fantastic. It has a lot going for it. The cards are very hard to find in a high grade. They are very condition sensitive, they chip, bad centering, the surface has ink bubbles, and cards still in packs are bricked like mofos. I've graded my personal cards, my best of the best. Never gotten a 10. The most interesting info I got from your video is that in your PSA pop report screenshot, the gem rate was 42%. While the cards added to the pop report in the last 2 years, the gem rate is 17%? That's a massive drop. Getting a 10 on any cards from the 90s from PSA has become very very hard. I grade marvel and sports cards, they have totally tightened thier criteria over the last couple years. I think buying 10s is a good idea, there won't be many 10s added in the future. Especially if PSA keeps changing thier grading standards.
I have a crazy amount of Marvel Cards varying from 91 to about 95 I bought on the LOW, but have no idea how to figure out a value. I bought them because I liked them but I keep seeing videos like this and I might be sitting on a gold mine😅 they’re all like brand new kept good care of in sleeves and binders. I’m just not sure how to figure out what they’re worth😂
a friend of mine had a comic book store.... i bought a box a a friend bought a box from what i remember i got the full set with the foil card...myfriend offerd to byt it from me but i said no...sadly a year later he sold the store
Its kind of hard to invest into the boxes cause 95% of the ones on ebay is bricked so..... 10,500 graded & 2,100 psa 10s thats like 20% like wtfff lmao. But a guy i know on whatnot in the marvel community bought q fresh case of 92 masterpieces and he's selling packs. Best ive seen ever
i have 100s of 1992 some 1994 and some 1991 all given to me in 2006 i still have them . and dont no what to do with them. i have a captain britain card looks perfect to me
I have a ton of these cards. Is it worth getting them graded? I know some of them are rare. I have a Spectra Wolverine vs. Sabertooth that's been sealed in a screw shut case since I got it in the early 90s. It's pretty much flawless. They've just been sitting in my closet for decades. I should probably just sell them off to someone who will enjoy them more than me. I honestly didn't know there was still any interest in them.
The whole idea is too collect what you like no matter what you can sell it for..if you make a profit when you go to sell it .. its a bonus if you keep treating cards as an investment sooner of later you'll get burned
I have a set I bought when they first came out including the 5 special cards. They are all in mint condition but I have no interest in selling them. An amazing set
