Davey Allison becomes the first to win two Phoenix races in a row, Jeff Burton would go on to do it 2000, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. whose career seems to mirror Davey's, especially in the DEI days, did it as well.

Rusty was so good at PIR, but had the worst luck. hes still 4th on the all time laps led list behind Harvick, Johnson, and Martin, despite having between 11-15 less starts at the track than those 3.

@Mike North As someone else noted to your reply on another comment, Rusty never became a "footnote" or anything of that sort once Jeff Gordon joined the sport. From 1993-2001 (the time Gordon joined full-time to his fourth and final Winston Cup championship), Rusty was just as consistent, winning 33 races and finishing in the top 10 in points over those years (no lower than 9th in those years, with a best finish of 2nd in 1993 behind Dale Earnhardt).
