Just be careful the front end of 454's are weak due to the external balancing that supercharger could eventually snap the balancer off. On our wrecker had a PTO pump on the front of our 454 kept snapping off the balancer till we moved it to the transmission. But if I was going to build this truck I can't say it be much different wheels hood the outlet's maybe moved to the rear and slightly more aggressive but it's badass
He put the money into the 454 block. I believe it's 502 now. The smog laws are nothing there, population of the town is 1,200 including the far outskirts because it's so rural. The nearest "city" has like 4,000 people in it. The only reason it's considered the city is because it has walmart
@@zachurystrawcutter2283 I should have mentioned that is my favorite interior on a Chevy truck. They stopped doing that interior around 95. Then the dashboards and door panels became more rounded.
quick question.... why do you have duel mufflers if they y into one afterword for the side pipe? was that a later addition after there were duels on it???
My dad has just the base model 454 and it's still fun as hell to drive Gas mileage ain't super friendly but with the supercharger it help with that some and with the added power it's be even more fun I say go for it
I have had mine for 5 years now. I drove it daily in Hawaii all year around. It's a nice ride. I also used to deliver pizzas daily with it as well. Odometer is broke so I don't known actally how many miles are on it but I would say at least well over 150,000. I have had more problems with the newer vehicles I own more than I have had with my 454. Its always an easy fix if something breaks. And there is an abundance of spare parts at a very cheap price depending on where you buy them. I brought mine back to Ohio and I dont plan to drive it in the winter because it is rust free, but it will deffiniatly be my spring, summer and fall daily drive coming up in a few weeks. But like the above comment said, it's really not fuel efficient, so be aware of that. I haven't regretted my purchase and I can't wait to drive it again. It's a nice beautiful truck in a small form.
