1993 G20 Camper Van Conversion | The floor Build, Frame, and Insulation. 

Thank you for the reply. We are hoping (not sure if it will work) to use the existing wall and to just scrap and update the look. If it doesn't work might try the same concept of ribs. We are going to finish the vinyl floor build the frame and take her out for the maiden voyage.

Hey bro I literally have the same van and actually in the same process so you made your own wood ribs to attach your walls what did you use for insulation and wood it be smart to use just wood paneling on the walls and ceiling over top of the insulation

@@jaybird862 Yes I had to make my own.. I cut 2x2 and used sika flex adhesive to glue it to the sheet metal. Then used rock wool to insulate with spray adhesive and then cut 1/4 inch plywood for the walls. Installed reflectix over the insulation with aluminum tape.. Stained and screwed the new plywood walls into the 2x2 ribs. The ceiling I used 1/2 inch poly foam board and spray adhesive to insulate and then reflectix and then cedar planks. U can see some progress on my Instagram.. vanlife_weekenders. Good luck working on yours... kind of a pain but worth it..

@@kiddobrewing i used truck bed liner, kilmat over every square inch (possibly the least effective sound barrier ever and waste of money, yet we all use it and i did my fiero with it too knowing its close to useless), then r15 insulation packed nicely, then used that thinner flimsy wood (cant remember what its called but slick on ine side and particle board feel on the other, i got a bunch for free), then painted/treated that, then used thin cotton glued on one side and a nice black burlap cloth over that. My walls are overkilled in my G30 Bonaventure that looks like a sportsvan with windows all around. Mybuild is for travel and mountains. I dont have instachats grams or anything as im too lame to create an account, anyway you have a video of your ceiling?

@@dexterlecter7289 I don't have a video of the ceiling going up unfortunately. It wasn't too well documented I just have a few progress pictures of the benches being made and the walls going up

My 1994 Dodge Ram b250 van was the same way and it was an absolute bitch to get up
