Not even a Jays fan, but Joe Carter's homer still gives me chills. And Tom Cheek's call of it is still god-tier.

This 1993 World Series ends Toronto’s great run that started back in 1983. its amazing the downward direction that the Jays will head into starting in 1994. Toronto will have some nice seasons from 1994-2014 (and some bad ones a as well), but Toronto will not make the postseason again for the next 20 years, as Toronto will make the postseason again in both 2015 and 2016, which is unreal to think about it, especially with the introduction of the wild card (s) and with them now having Canada all for themselves with the "destruction" of the Expos. As for the Phillies, its amazing the downward direction that the Phillies will head into starting in 1994. The Phillies will enter some horrible days starting in 1994, as they will stink from 1994-2000, before having a great run from 2001-2012. Phillies will not make the postseason again until the 2007 season, and they will also win two more pennants and one World Series title.

Pat Hentgen had himself a nice career. He won two World Series titles (1992-1993 with Toronto). He won an AL CY Young (1996), he had one season where he won 20 games (1996). He won 19 games in 1993 (he lost his final start). Played almost 15 years.

The Blue Jays' second WS title and the first team to repeat as champions since the 1978 New York Yankees.

In game 1 = Schilling got rocked this game In game 2 = Lenny Dykstra showed up this game, nice. Phillies offense able to beat Dave Stewart In game 3 = John Olerud getting benched, wow (he had a monster 1993 season, including winning the AL Batting title). Pat Hengen starting for Toronto. He will have a nice career, including winning the 1996 AL Cy Young Paul Molitor is sensational In game 4 = Horrible loss for the Phillies. 1997 World Series game 3 (Cleveland-Florida) will also have a crazy high-scoring game. Al Leiter also started that game for the Marlins, as Leiter also pitched in this game 4 for Toronto (he did not start this game) This game was rainy, while the Cleveland-Florida game was freezing In game 5 = A sensational gem by Schilling In game 6 = - Such a shame that this World Series didnt go 7 games. - Sometimes I just look at both the rosters of the 1992 and 1993 Toronto Blue Jays, and its just unreal how many big names they had. Surprising they never won 100+ games any of those two seasons.

3 of the 9 players in their lineup (Molitor, Alomar, Henderson) and one of their starting pitchers (Morris) are in the HoF. They had a bunch of other guys who made multiple All-Star games and won all kinds of awards and titles.

had the Philies held on in game six I wonder if Schilling could have given them a few innings in game seven, look at what Bumgarner did 21 years later. Looking back all those innings and pitches hurt Schilling as he was worn out and not really good from 1994 to 96 and had he been better those years it may have made his overall numbers slightly better to get into the hall. Also Schilling and Mitch hate each other to this day over the series

True story, Mitch Williams came home after game 6 to the Princeton, NJ police circling his home. According to Williams someone had called them with his address & said he would be waiting for him when he got home.

3:49 What the heck was Roberto Alomar thinking making the third out at third base with Toronto down by 2 runs in the 8th inning

the end of the ill fated MLB on CBS deal which flopped and the losers helped cost them the NFC deal to Fox and come 1994 we would get the even worse Baseball Network Night In America deal
