Wes, Your Welcome & that's very true, back then you knew when visiting the park you would be able to get to do and ride everything you wanted, all this Genie Plus and Lightning lanes have done now is just push up wait times everything as well as having to have your head in your phone all day instead of enjoy the park 😔
Love this! My first time at WDW was in June 1992. I was 6yrs old, my sister was 3yrs old. It was our first long haul flight from the UK and the whole trip was the most magical experience ever. 💖✨
When I went for my 12th visit to WDW in May 1993, about 80% of the WDW I'd first experienced in 1975 was still there, augmented by new additions like EPCOT, MGM and Splash Mountain. That was the zenith of my WDW experience. The changes that followed afterwards I feel was the beginning of a decline (my one time back since in June 2004 I saw far too much that had changed and not for the better IMO). Anytime I see WDW footage of the golden age that for me is 75-93 it reminds me of when it was truly the Magic Kingdom for me.
Another great one. Perfect upload to wax nostalgic on a Sunday, as my family would occasionally take the Sunday drive and drop my dad off at work behind MK. At the time we lived about an hour away, so we'd take all these undeveloped orange grove backroads to get there. It was an experience to see all the behind the scenes magic at a young age. Sometimes he'd ask us to wait and he'd come back with "official" cast member hamburgers and drinks (blew my kid mind). Thanks for the happy memory jolt and Happy New Year. August 1993 was my first visit! I was 6 at the time. So many vivid memories from my first visit that I still recall to this day. I still have the autograph book I had the characters sign. Thank you for posting this and allowing me to take a trip back in time!
