i just bought a Hilux 1990 xcab dark blue which i swapped to 1kz engine and it running like a cool one, nothing to complain with this 34 years old everything is fine, put my saving 12000$(price in SEA, Cambodia) into this truck and feel great to having it in my life.
Beautiful truck. I like that automatic transmission. I have a 1991 4x4 in metallic Lt blue with a 5 speed still looks and drives like new after 140K miles. They are great trucks. I just sold my wife's 89 4Runner with 90K miles. too many toys plus my wife could no longer drive a 5 speed.
I got a holden colorado LX v6 space cab and I’ve been thingking about selling it but after seeing this one I think I will keep it for now and maybe put money on it.
That's pretty clean! One thing we know is that this didn't belong to a teen or 20 something because it has a proper lift with proportionate wheels and tires. It's not 20 feet in the air with Christmas lights under it and 36 inch rims with a rubber band wrapped around them! That and it's not an 80k diesel with a home entertainment center in it that they junked! I have a 2001 ranger ext cab XLT black with a 4" lift similar wheels 4.0 engine 5 speed auto and 4:10.1 limited slip axles. It has 8k on it and it sits in a clear part of my shop. I had/have people begging to buy when Ford stopped and now a similar truck is $40k.
Beautiful truck man!! I have a red 94 v6 that I lifted 5 in on 33 12:50's and I want to restore the exterior and interior on. Any advice?? Mine has 145,430 miles on it
What size, type lift did you do? This looks like perfect height. I don’t think you comment, but if you are willing to share it would be neat to know how you did your lift. Truck looks fantastic!
Mint I’ve got one auto and one manual! Auto is better at being auto, and manual is better at being manual! Some days I feel lazy some days I don’t!! I love Toyota Utes !!
Three-point-slow litre V6 and auto gearbox almost ruin it but she sure is clean! You will not regret swapping in a 3-RZ and 5 speed. Better mpg and more power!!
The swap wasn't that hard. Just make sure the wiring harness and ECU is federal emissions and not California. Your will have a nightmare clearing codes.
My 1994, 22re with 312,000 miles failed me last Friday and is giving me the code 12, it is not the distributor, there is no signal going to the ECU, it may be the coil, the igniter or somewhere there is a cable that is is going to ground, after 25 years first time happend, if someone has had the same experience let me know, thanks
I think that is a minor issue due to its age... my Uncle still has his 1996 4runner with 450k miles.... he just passed it to his daughter.. He doesn't want to sell it... its reliable and low maintenance according to him.
I found the problem, it is the ecu but I also found the solution, too bad I don't have a utube channel so you can see how I found it and what my solution will be
