The 1994 Bassmaster Classic at High Rock Lake is one of the most iconic Classics in Bassmaster history. A Federation Nation underdog battles a list of legendary bass fishermen for the biggest title in fishing.
Damn I love this old school BASS! Obviously so tragic that a young Brian had his life shortened at such a young age! Still a highlight classic of my older age! His legacy has NOT been forgotten!!!
Man I remember seeing this and going out to practice flipping in my back yard in a coffee can. Practicing always and then knowing he passed away it was so sad and I went in to do my first BASS tournament with him in mind I took 3rd place and won big bass of the day. Everyone came up to me asking who I was and had I ever competed before. That guy was an inspiration to me and still is.
I loved The Bassmasters in the 80’s & 90’s. That open, music, narrator, and Ray Scott were the perfect combination. I just don’t like how the show is produced today. Too over the top.
I guess Im asking randomly but does someone know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me.
@Logan Jalen i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im in the hacking process now. Takes a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I don't have one that's ready for RU-vid yet, but you can watch it here: video.bassmaster.com/detail/video/835674958001/1995-bassmaster-classic?autoStart=true&q=1995
twice he suffered two knockout punches 1st in 1990 he had the lead from day one and he was 1 angler away from winning it wire to wire but that angler is rick clunn had a final day weigh in to remember from 10th place after day 2 to $50,000 at the end of the 3rd and final day and 2nd he loses to an angler who taken away from us far too soon
Professional bass Tournaments aren't the same any more Just saying IMO. Bryan's tragedy was a heart breaker. I have an autograph cap from this classic in which I cherish.
I agree with you. The tournaments and classics back then just had a different feel than they do now. It felt like they were the most important thing in the world at that time. Don't get me wrong. I still watch all the tournaments now, but they just don't have the same feel and energy as they did back then.
