when i saw it in person in london for the first time, i couldn't believe how much better it looked than in pictures. Stunning back end, elegant profile, and classic front end.
I actually like his "geekiness" or whatever people wanna call it. It's refreshing after seeing so many douchebag RU-vidrs. He's a good person, and you can tell that he's genuine and works his ass off to make these videos the quality that they are.
I had this very car back then. Same exact vehicle. Same color even. I loved that car. Held onto in until 2001. Also had a 328iC convertible that I bought in 1996 and kept until 2006. The 850 was truly state of the art. A real head turner and status symbol. I can't believe how mint the car you reviewed is. It looks and sounds NOW exactly like mine did more than 20 years ago. Amazing.
My friends dad had one of these in 1997 and I remember being in love with this fucking car. I dont think it was CSI though it was just 850i. My friends dad worked in wall street and was sent to 18 years in prison for various fraud related charges in 2001. Ohhh the good ol days :3
Kyle. As a board member and spokes person for the Southern California 8 series club, I want to thank you for reviewing the CSi. Everyone loves this video and your have brought a lot of attention to this already magnificent car of ours. Regards Alec Cartio. SoCal 8s
I was 12 when the 8 Series came out and I wasn't a huge fan of the design. It was too much of a departure from other BMW's at the time. Now I love the design. It's timeless and will always look good.
I dont care what anyone says... This WAS and still IS a Gorgeous GT Sports Car... I liked it the day it hit the streets. I couldn't afford it when new so I just admired it from afar. I had the opportunity to buy one of these on more than one occasion...Some day I will actually own my own 850CSi with a manual 6sp Trans.
Congrats on your milestone of 1 million subscribers to my good friend Kyle! You might not even remember but I subscribed way back when you were doing cold starts to cars that were either repossessed or abandoned. If anybody who deserves all the success it's you and I mean that! Now you can work on your next million. From your loyal subscriber and neighbor!
Congrats on a million subs man. You are a great role model. I really want a 8 series. It's been my dream car since 1989 when I was 5 :) when I was about 9 my dad bought a red 850i in brilliant red. I'd be happy with any engine, the Alpina B12 e31 is my dream car :)
Is this your 1M subscriber special? Wow, I didn't expect you to find a 850csi! It's really nice to take a breather from all the econoboxes and look at something truly special. Congrats on 1 million subscribers! Make room for the gold play button plaque! haha
Actually no, but it's still quite special! Thanks buddy! My 1 million special will be up by the middle of next week. Remember that white '95 Saab I bought earlier this year? I cloned it to look like the '97 model I had as my first car. That's the review I'll be uploading for my "special" :)
Andrew Samy - Hardly average interior quality, even by today's standards, whatever those are. An eye for detail and quality is a must to really appreciate how luxurious it is, and certainly was in the 90's.
I always loved the 8 series since I was a kid, thank you for bringing this 850CSI to your channel and congratulations for the 1 million subs Kyle. Also I would like to see a review of the new 2017 Lincoln Continental if you have the opportunity.
The 8 series is one of my fav bimmers. When they first came out I was a pretty young guy and thought they were honda's because of the tail lights. It wasn't until I was older that I realized how special they were.
My dad had the CSi!! I remember he always toyed with the Idea of sending it do Dinan to get the Twin TUrbo package on it, which would bring it up to 670 HP... still would be amazing, and fast as fuck today
till this day. 17 years later. my first book i read when i was 5 was a bmw book. the 850csi was the cover car. i fell in love. I still want exactly that exact that you drove. in that spec and color. one day.
You should see the looks on other BMW owners with other model cars (not 8-Series) when I tell them that I like my 8 because it doesn't look like a BMW...
Thank you Kyle for this review in a truly great car! That CSI is minty, minty, minty.... one of the best. Love your channel. Your reviews are second to none. Keep up the good work
congrats on one million subs! you changed the game with your car reviews and I've watched you grow from reviewing cars on your family's lot to being invited to events by manufacturers and getting national media attention. Awesome work, Kyle!
