@sumandsubstance7881 Here's my analysis on Bison Dele (Brian Williams). He was a talented player who was fighting severe mental demons. He viewed basketball as a ticket to improve his way of living instead of a profession to build himself as the best basketball player. He was an eccentric personality who enjoyed seeing the world but never loved the basketball life. Remember, he didn't start playing basketball until late into high school. His brother, however, had his own mental problems, and he was jealous of his brother's financial success. It's kind of a Cain and Abel story in real life.

I haven’t seen this game in years. Thanks! It was awesome…sheesh, Dikembe’s shot-blocking completely altered this series. He was averaging 4 a game that season. Seattle had been making progress leading up to this with Kemp and Payton. 1991- make playoffs 1992- win a playoff series 1993- win 2 playoff series But in 1994, they went backwards. To think an inexperienced Nuggets team beat a SEA team that had made it to Game 7 of the ‘93 West Finals. Heck, Seattle has been in do or die games the prior year with Utah and Houston so it’s not like this was unfamiliar territory

Seattle was definitely the better team they just stepped on their own d*cks. If 70something% free throw shooter Shawn kemp could’ve just made 1 of his 2 free throws in game 4 with 40 some seconds left in regulation when up 3 that probably would’ve been enough to close it out in game 4 with no game 5 necessary and no mutombo laying on the floor image stuck in Seattle fan’s brains forever.

What's fascinating is also the commentary. Considering the stakes, that reach-in foul with 18 seconds left down by 2 -- I was shocked that the commentators didn't go nuts about how totally unneccessary that foul was. These days you'd hear a lot about how much of a crucial mistake that was, considering they didn't need to foul and would have gotten the ball back no matter what with at least 5 seconds (probably more) left. That really changed Seattle's approach at the last possession as they got more desperate and rushed, instead of just needing to find one good shot.
