The problem.i have 1985 nissan pathfinder ❤3.0.liter there is two relay one gray and one blue.it is located in front of the washer fluid bottle.that is stater relay and gray is inhibitor...that's with no crank no start or clucking noise on your starter.it took me 1 year to figure out..trust me..the relays is hard to see..it's there...good luck randy..
The starter relay is not inside the check relay box. It is bolted to the fender well just to the right of the battery. It is black in color and has two sets of wires that connect underneath by means of spade terminals. Napa sells these online or can be sent to your local Napa store. Hope this helps someone.
The starter solenoid is mounted on the side of the starter, and is part of the starter assembly. When you replace the Starter, you also replace the solenoid. So, yes.
Get relays from nissan dealer...O'Reilly, napa,no good it has to be oem.part..ebay and Amazon has oem...it's pricey but you need it .altogether $150 or less.i live in c.t. I bought relays aftermarket parts store that I just listed...dealer ,Amazon, or ebay has oem nissan relay...it took 9 professional mechanic and they could not figure it out...but thanks to a friend who is old schools almost 77yrs old knew about this problem ..starter clicking ,no crank no start also the ignition wire harness that goes to the ignition Key cylinder might have to replace..$25 Amazon or autozone S100. When looking up ignition starter switch it will day parts does not match Ignore its the right part..D21 nissan pathfinder.
