they goin in hard, this was the beginning of the Fall 95 Version 1.0 peak, they were unstoppable - maybe Jerry's passing spirit had a play in all that ❤️🔥
drove from Boulder to this show - was general admission, randomly came in a back entrance to the auditorium and we ended up in the front row! what a sick show.
I recorded an upfront audience tape on a DAT for the first set. Had a surprise visit from a close friend Andy from Kansas who silently smoked me up hard during the Reba. I've seen some killer Rebas and this is my fave. This room sounded so much better than it deserved. Great run of shows in fall 95
Went to the prior two shows in KC and Cedar Rapids. Then this show in Lincoln on my way back west. The band was spot on this night in all regards. However what impressed me more was the crew and entire production was spot on. The crew and band knew they were filming this show and all of them totally nailed it. I stealth recorded the first set FOB/DFC with a crew of experienced heads and the sound was spectacular. Hard to beat this show with any others in 95 IMHO
24 years ago today, man time fly's when your having fun! Both Nebraska shows just fucking rock. 2019 was a killer year for Trey and so a killer year for Phish. 83-?
As a Nebraska native, I was too young to attend this. But it is still talked about when Phish Phans and Husker fans collided in downtown Lincoln after number 2 Nebraska defeated Number 8 Kstate. I am jealous of anyone who was there.
I still live in the area. This was the first time I saw Phish live. Watching the "sea of red" Husker fans after the game meet with the "sea of hippies" before the show in downtown Lincoln was a surreal experience, to be sure.
This is the day Shannon Hoon the lead singer of Blind Melon died on their tour bus in New Orleans of cocaine induced heart attack...I remember this date
