Thanks man. Honestly I think this was my best build. That build I drove from MD to Tampa all the time. No problem….I now I have ls with a torqstorm s/c on it
Heads n cam 1800 Stroker kit about 700 Machine work about 1000 (I think but around that price) Intake 250 Headers 1300 Electric water pump 200 Misc about 500... Trans about 1500 T/q 800 Moser axles, gear, posi install around 2k Exhaust like allot can't remember Mail in tune about
damn what kinda headers did u put on it thats expensive i spent like 180$ on my headers but you probably had to customize yours i put my 383 stroker in a ss colorado
I'm from MD too. Did you do your own work or have it done at a shop? If so, which one. It sure sounds nice. I also have a stroker in my caprice with all the goodies but the car is not as nice as yours. Good luck with that nice Impala
nigga we got nice cars bruhhhh 😎🛣🍻I like those 96 95$ 94s if u change the front doors n put 95 or 96 ones cause of the mirror it makes a difference when u look at it
so roughly you have a 700hp b body? that's very impressive out of a twin turbo 383. What state are you located in? we have chapters all over the country (INC)
sounds mean I have a 96 caprice and have a 92 zr1 corvette motor in it and have it also tune by pcm for less and have a twin turbo on my car but it's underneath I'll make a video soon it's in the paint shop
+jay was this a daily driver? I just picked a buick Roadmaster im trying to make into a sleeper/daily driver and in just wondering if a 383 can do well on the highway and around town.
+John Moose in my opinion yes to your question. I drove my 383 (which it was a lil more wild than the average mild build) but I drove it up and down I-95 from Maryland to tampa to atl racetrack back to tampa and back and forth to maryland from tampa a few times. my tune wasn't 100% percent. seeing that my cam was kinda big and my tune wasn't quite right, during the city driving it would buck a lil in lower rpms, but once again my tune wasn't quite right.....all in all you can have a daily driver 383...just make sure the tune is spot on.
+Jovan Williams Oh ok I hear you man. I'm looking to make around 400 rwhp but still be able to drive work and back. Its going to be the first time that I'll be building an engine so I'm just trying to hear opinions. Ever one so far has said that that goal is realistic as long as it's build right and it has a good tune. Thanks for the help.
+John Moose 400rwhp is very achievable. I would suggest contacting LLOYD Elliot (portworks) the best in the business next to A.I. also contact Karl Earlwien. the best builder in the LT world. Even you you don't purchase anything from these guys, they will help you out.
Well I drove my 383 from Maryland to Tampa to ATL a few times and didnt have a problem. Now my mpg was horrible but that's part of the game. My issue was my tune. But honestly now and days you can drive a stock impala until you are ready to LS swap it. Currently I'm doing an 408 LS2 with LS3 too end 4l80e trans
@@lexusboybryan8678 if you are worrying about gas mileage, than you shouldn't get a stroker. Also a shift kit is solely for the trans shift point. Take some time and look on the impala ss forums. There is countless information from countless of people that can definitely glad you in the right way
You can try "streettrends", impala mike, impala super store, also go on impala ss forum and they is a ton of vendors and people who sells things for our cars. Just google both and a their website will pop up. Also google "INC" "impalas n caprices. Thats the nationwide car club im in. Tons of guys with I formation as well.
jay yup after 6 years looking for one I came across one 2 days ago and I want to have it right as a matter of fact is just like yours. Thanks dude for the info
ruben valdez I feel you man. I love these cars. I have invested ALLOT of money into just to get it at that point. Since then I snapped the crank and got an kark ellwein forged 383. And its scream ever more. But to get it where it was at this point of the video. Set aside about 11k. I didnt realized I spent that much until everything was said and done. But I know allot about these cars (and still learning) but I also know allot of people who is far more knowledgeable about these cars. Hit me off line if you need more info Jtwmd83@gmail.com -Jay
