A few tips for next time, if you aren't saving the links, you can grab the back part of the stud with a vice grip and use your impact. Much easier than using the alan for removal. All around little bit easier if you remove the bar with it, which is necessary for the bushings since new bushings are solid and dont have the cut in them to just slip over he bar. You actually have to slide them on over the end of the bar where the link connects to it. For the upper end of the link, if you put a bit of pressure to hold the stud in place, it normally holds it well enough for you to hand tighten the nut.
@@petescarport dont forget to lubricate the bar when installing the new bushings. Little bit of wd40 or silicone grease makes a world of difference. I lubed the first side and it went on super easy so I thought I didnt need it for the other side. I was wrong lol
Nice video pete... Doing my lower ball joints tomorrow... Sway bar links and sway bar bushings... Everything on my front end is completely shot... But one step at a time... Have you replaced your steering damper?... Replaced mine tonight, and OMG it was beyond worn out... Really easy swap... 2 17MM bolts and done
So I had checked my steering dampner 2 years ago and it felt new but the next series of change will be drag link, steering dampner and sway bar bushings. Good luck with everything and be very safe. I had the spring slip off the clamp yesterday but I was fine since I set up everything to be safe no matter what
