BTW, thank you. With your video I was able to change the distributor caps & rotors, and the inner covers as well, plugs and wires on my 1995 S420! ! ! It has never run better. Thanks again!
Hey thanks bro I appreciate your video I had a Tesla back into my front bumper cover on my 1995 C280 it was $200 to buy a bumper cover or a bumper from eBay but a managed to find a guy 26-years-old kid way in over his head in Staten Island New York so I was able to buy a complete 1996 Mercedes C280 black with peanut butter leather and the leather in my 1995 C280 is black so I paid $800 for the whole complete Car in excellent condition I figure if I take the parts off that I need and part it out I should be able to bring in about $6000 - $10,000 in my area these parts are hard to find the seller said there was only three in the state of Staten Island New York that he could find and they were not C280 they were wagons
Nice vid! I'm in the process of replacing front and rear bumpers and swapping it with Lorinser ones. This video looks very helpful! PS: I have a set of black rear individual seats for W140. Pretty rare stuff. It is still installed on my donor W140 car. Let me know if you need it. My main W140 has beige interior so I don't need those black rear individual seats.
Awesome I love the lorinser bumpers. Also those rear seats are insane and rare. If I didn't have the reclining rear seat option I would take you up on it. My boy Xavier may want them for his s500. How much do you want for seats
@@petescarport The only problem with Lorinser bumpers is that they don't come with any bumper hardware. You have to transfer all that inner bumper plastic pieces from a donor bumper which is a bit pain because they used tons of rivets there. For rear seats I'd like to get $1500. Also I prefer seats to be picked up locally (Delaware 19701 or 19702). I could help with loading. PS: Also I could sell the whole donor W140 (it's black on black 92 600SEL).
Thank you. Very informative video. My 94 S500 has a sagging front bumper edge on the driver's side. But since it's a pre-facelift model, it doesn't have those 2 side clips to hold the edges. Do you know if there's any way I can fix it? It's now wobbling and showing me a 1cm gap between the headlight and the bumper. While the passenger's side is good.
Mine is pre face lift too and had same issue. I found an area to use a self taping screw and pull bumper up so no more gap. It's been a while since I did it so not sure exactly where I did it
Have you ever removed the front fenders? I've been trying to figure out whether they just unbolt, or whether they are bonded to the frame somehow. Love your videos.
So yes they do unbolt. There are lots of bolts. One under the lower panels and some in he door jam when you open the door. I wish I had a diagram but I remember it being like 10 or so bolts on one side.
Pete I found a company that has been refurbishing wood work for years I sent them my w140 grand edition steering wheel they fixed the cracks in wood to new condition let me know if you need or anyone needs connection. I'm having trouble with w140 door panel long wood grain trim to remove it does anyone know how to take it off?
The door wood trim has studs and nuts that can be accessed by taking off the door panel. It's not an easy door panel to remove and be carful not to break the door handle line or fittings. But it can be done using regular tools
Not that popular unfortunately but there is a growing group who love them. Most people still think they are the best built Benz ever but prices are still pretty low. I got mine with 110k miles for only $1250usd
@@petescarport than you have luck about price. Sharing same passion with you.. I own w140 S500 1991 ,payed 7.000 eur,and still this is a god price. For excellent condition you must pay over 10k EUR here in Europe. Peter thank for response. Will continue watch your Merc videos.
