I feel sorry for anyone who travelled any distance to participate in this tournament...obviously the left handers were bowling with the equivalent of 20-30 pins handicap. Anyone who wants to argue with me, just watch the 3rd guy (the call him a "newcomer", that man has no business being in the finals of any bowling tournament.
It was a scratch event but had two tiers a 189 and under average division and a 190 and up division. NO handicap was involved, so what ever you hit you get. The same song and dance as far as right vs. left back then. Now it's 2h vs. 1h. Bowlers had to qualify on a reverse block for this event before the days of sport patterns. There have been times the lefties were totally shut down, trust me I've seen it first hand. It varied. Thanks for viewing.
