Jordan the Goat, 51% from the field , 84% from the Line , 32 PPG 1st 10 Seasons. Amazing 👉🏾 11 ½ year stint in Chicago Jordan accomplished the most of any superstar in NBA History. 🐐😤
What a battle this game was. Jason Kidd was such a force. I watched this game live back in the day. i never missed a Bulls game back then. I'd forgotten how good the Mavs were. This was a good example of one of those nights the Bulls shooting was off early in the game. They battled through it with team play. They were stacked with talent in that era. The Bulls bench was deep and they stepped up when needed.
The late, great announcer Jim Durham. Loved him when he was calling games here in Chicago during MJ's early years alongside the big "Red" Kerr. Of course, one of the greatest moments he was part of was "The Shot" in '88 against Cleveland.
This Mavs team had great potential. Too bad u never hear about them anymore. But they're not the only one who suffered from the Bulls' 4th qt comeback.
@@hawkmoon7930This was only Kidd's 2nd season. Mashburn was in his 3rd season and Jackson his 4th. Had they checked their egos and the Toni Braxton drama (which is hilarious in retrospect), they could have been a damn good team with a few more years experience. If anything, they were about 20 years ahead of time being built around 3 perimeter oriented players.
They underachieved this season, for sure. It didn’t help that Jamal Mashburn got hurt, but Kidd and Jackson didn’t get along and after starting the year hot, they fell off a cliff and couldn’t seem to recover. By the middle of 1996-97, the key players were all, basically, gone and so the franchise remained in futility for several more seasons…
Just a great year in life in general was a crazy year Jordan's back musically people were confused grunge just died Kurt killed himself 2 years before nu metal just started Rob zombie dargila was what you heard on the radio and MTV great 👍 year
Jim Durham calling a Bulls game is my pre-1st Threepeat voice of the Bulls with Johnny Red Kerr!!!! Tom Dore and Red Kerr became the Iconic voices of the era!
i'll say the goats are wilt chamberlain and bill russell and michael jordan wasn't quite as legendary as kareem abdul-jabbar oscar robertson wilt chamberlain and bill russell
@@youtuber3328 How can you say that MJ wasn't quite as legendary when literally Jordan was the breakthrough personality with the 1992 Dream Team to conquer the sportsworld. He had just title 2 of his first threepeat and continued with all his scoring titles, championships, accolades and records the next years with a 6-0 in the NBA finals. If you are traveling the world today you dont see kids and teens in Kareem or Russel shirts and shoes, it is still MJ #23 and Air Jordan Hoodies, Shirts, Sneakers etc, everywhere. No one will ever compare to Jordan's legendary status, even Bird and Magic admitted that. Jordan was the guy who escalated the success of the Nike branding, the NBA franchise and made Basketball in Europe more popular than anyone before and after him. I don't know anyone who questions this, not even Lebron.
@@seancool the best individual statistics are #1 TIED the rebounding from wilt chamberlain and bill russell #2 TIED scoring from wilt chamberlain and shotblocking from bill russell #3 shotblocking from wilt chamberlain #4 passing from oscar robertson #5 scoring from kareem abdul-jabbar
Jim Durham was a great announcer and did the Bulls TV through their first championship and I missed him when he was dumped. I do not remember why. First class guy.
This was a good game. I genuinely thought the Mavs were gonna win this game…I also thought they’d be back in the playoffs…I was wrong on both predictions, haha!
Jordan always pretty much guarded the point guard LoL he played on both sides of the floor that's what I missed about the NBA game nowadays it's not like that none of these are my teams but I just enjoy watching good basketball 🤔
What a terrible game by Popeye Jones. The first time I saw on a breakfast run and Popeye's made a terrible alley hoop shot instead. But later on in their respective career, MJ and Popeye Jones became team mates at Washingron Wizards. Highlighting the retirement era for his airness.
I’d say he won’t because the League has been cracking down on copyright claims lately. There’s a dude who has a channel devoted exclusively to Nick The Quick (Bearcats, Lakers, etc.) and he just had a ton of games removed for that reason 😞 He had some great ones too! It sucks
Hello, can you tell me if you have other NBA games? I had in my History a game in your channel Bulls Knicks 1997 and the game disappeared from your channel. I'm living in France.
Sorry for the delay, I might check tomorrow if it's not hidden or something. Otherwise I will try to find it in my CDs backup somewhere... 'ill try to upload other games too
Were the referees here suspended or fined or both of the same thing by the Commissioner David Stern? How could a ONE player do the foul and goal tending with just one hand (Simpkins on Kidd)?👋🤔🤔
Always look better when teams don't play defense. You mean the 4-6 LeBron? You mean the 2 bronze medals LeBron? You mean the swept twice in the Finals LeBron? You mean the 21 seasons and STILL chasing Jordan and Kobe's legacies?
@@nba-ilovethisgame5814 okay thanks and nothing against you or the bulls but i'll say the 1988 mavs were the most elite because they didn't have a top of the line head coach like john wooden phil jackson red aurbach let alone any elite players like magic johnson michael jordan kareem abdul-jabbar oscar robertson wilt chamberlain and bill russell
@@jdshellnut6537 please tell me if i'm wrong but your probably talking about what i said about the 1988 mavs and not kareem abdul-jabbar oscar robertson wilt chamberlain and bill russell
The stats most certainly do not show Rodman to be the best rebounder in history. His best year wasn’t as good as Wilt’s WORST year in terms of rebounding. No shit. And one year Wilt averaged 25 rebounds a game, to go along with 38 points.
@Beery The playoff game? Jeez that was ridiculous to watch. It was like three pointers was the only thing they had ever practiced. What about going inside, get one in with a simple mid range shot or a lay up? The NBA is not a video game yet, it's not like the first to miss a thee pointer looses the game
young j kidd was a problem. everyone else on dallas looked pretty awful besides him in this one. no wonder this team ended up breaking up, bunch of selfish shot chuckers like mashburn jackson jones etc. jordan and pippen doing their thing of course despite how awful luc longley and the bulls role players were
nothing against you or dennis rodman but the 1991 1992 and 1993 bulls won championships with only two elite players being superstar scottie pippen and the legendary michael jordan
Rodman took Horace Grant's place as the third wheel on second Bulls dynasty. He of whom was the missing piece to the puzzle, who put them over the top, and was just what the Bulls were lacking, but made up for and then some too.
You need to be drug tested, Jordan 1996 was out of this world on every level. Jordan such the Goat the man didn't lose 3 straight games from 1990-1998, he's such the Goat that it took the eastern conference 14 seasons to have another champion that didn't have him as the reason they won. Detroit 1990 the last East team to win a title up until Detroit 2004, that's how bad Jordan devastated the league, to the point the conference didn't even bounce back as have a Champion until 2004. Rodman wasn't getting 10 PPG he wasn't the MVP jack. The Bulls would've beaten Seattle & Utah with Popeye Jones as their starting PF. Also who said Scottie Pippen was a superstar? No he was not a damn superstar he was a role player with superior gifts that he didn't utilize an the 1994 Playoffs WHEN HE QUIT BECAUSE PHIL JACKSON CALLED FOR TONI KUKOC TO SHOOT THE GAME WINNER PROVES He was not a superstar the man refused to go on the court, Scottie Pippen actually loses points for that overall that's why he's around top 40 All-time, Bill Cartwright Steve Kerr Phil Jackson Horace Grant all said the man quit an we know he did as well I remember the game. Bulls could've won that series if they had a damn leader. Jordan coming back to the Bulls saved Scottie's legacy more than anyone.
